Every time someone goes 1 base colassi all-in against me I just get absolutely dominated. Is there anything that is good against that? Do I just need to get my colassi up faster? Should I try and get a contain?
The people over at GameFAQs (where I mostly hang out) just say it's a bad strategy, so every time I loose to it I just feel incredibly demoralized.
Replay for anyone interested (I'm shadowslayer): http://drop.sc/189589
EDIT: Almost forgot, I'm plat and he's diamond and this was on ladder.

Oftentimes I stop the initial hellion pressure easily, send out my obs to see that they expanded and transitioning into mech, when suddenly I'm hit by a 4 BFH drop in both my main mineral line and natural simultaneously. This often kills a huge amount of probes because hellions are so goddamn fast and stalkers don't do jack What is the most effective way to manage hellions in my probe line / base and minimizing my probe losses? Also, is there a way to punish terrans that do siege-tank expansions?? It seems pretty greedy to just expand with siege tank and marines and bunkers :S High diamond P BUMP help pleeeaase
Park your first immortal in the mineral line and it'll make quick work out of those hellions if they get close.

there are quite a few ways to kill a collosi 1 base play. If you opened star gate if he is stupid he will build collosi and you can just snipe the collasi with phoenix for example. if you don't open stargate and opened robo getting a good spread of your units will help ie. don't fight in a choke or your ramp ie try and fight out in the open with a good spread, you can also delay his push if you go warp prism etc... if you have expanded stop probe production and chrono out units for a bit to have enough stuff... just my few thoughts...

Standard gateway units along with a few immortals will crush one-base colossus. Get +1 weapons if you have the time and if he allows you to get blink as well you will completely dominate him.

i quit at season 2 and recently started playing again recently, I am currently low master and when i quit we had a lot of smaller maps where you could put on eariler pressure, espc in pvz however i can't seem to put ANY pressure on now. It seems gateway openings are completley redundent.. does anybody have or still use gateway openings? I Lost to a zerg the other night and he told me they are basically crap and nobody should ever use them!
so does anybody know any early pressure builds? should i make my own? i dont like the fact zerg get 3 bases for free now.. i dont want a 2 base all in but i want to do somthing that will slow them down which they have to react to.

Is there a generally considered strongest 2-base all in in PvT now? I want to do 2 base all-ins, to refine my mechanics and ensure I can get them down cold before moving onto 3-base, but I'm not sure if I should go for an immortal bust, colossus push, or 6-gate. If there is no "strongest" 2-base all-in, what's the most documented one, so I can get a good guide for it and watch some replays to get the benchmarks? (Ideally, a guide with a perfect execution vs. AI replay would be best)

It may have been asked, but...
How to deal with Stephano Ling/Roach 12 minute maxout?

Wall off your ramp with two gates and a pylon to keep the scv's from coming into your base and chronoboost stalkers out. Alternatively you can try kiting him across the map to pick off marines, but that requires really solid micro; walling off is easier by far.

How the hell do you deal with a terran that goes cloaked banshees and ravens ? basicly he is sniping my observers. Terrans have so many ways to deal with stealth while protoss have cannons and observers, thats it .............. if we loose that we have to rebuild and by that time youve lost too much.

So here I am in gold league and I do not know how to deal with zerg. I do not have a safe build and I can not kill max roach if they do it. What to do?

Or just get blink obs with a later blink on maps like entombed in favor of 2 immortals and once you have the better army with blink, start late colos production. Skip lance and the guy who went for em first will loose

im not saying gate expands are not viable, but if the zerg defends any kind of early pressure w/ minimum losses, he will have a superior economy thus very big army in the mid game, he can just straight up overrun with you heavy upgrade roaches. Compared to a FFE, you will have less probes, less infrastructure, less army supply in the mid game using gate expand. There's just no way to match the economic power of FFE using the standard gate expand. I just recently switched back to FFE, i was gate expanding every pvz and i was using liquid'tyler's zealot sentry pressure that pushed out around 7:20. It can have like 4-6 sentries with 3-5 zealots, depends on what many of which unit you want. This attack can do quite a bit of damage if the zerg went for a very quick third, and you can definitely force out roaches, but if they dont take a quick third, i suggest you dont even consider attacking with this force.
edit: i feel like in a BoX series, a gate expand build that leads into some timings that zergs aren't familiar with can win you a game or two, but as a standard build in pvz it's not that good.

I'm a low diamond level player, and I've been trying to use a 6 gate timing in PvZ (since I can't deal with the inevitable BL/infestor comp late-game, but that can wait.)
http://www.mediafire.com/?c3he2ig4mqzcsnt
Here is a pack of 7 replays of me trying to execute a 6 gate attack. I win 4 of them, and I lose 3. My problem is that I can't really tell what I do well in the ones that I win that I don't do well in the ones that I lose. I end up feeling like me winning is purely based on how bad the zerg is, rather than what I did particularly right or wrong.
So, I need advice in general on how to execute the build properly, and I'd also like to know what massive errors I made that lead to me losing in some of the above games.
I feel like the macro element was pretty consistent (that is not to say that it was good, just that I always ended up with a similar amount of probes) throughout all the games. My gates go up at similar times, and my gate tech finishes at a relatively similar time in all of the games (although I feel like it could be a lot faster than it usually ends up being.)
The timing of warpgate finishing was what I initially felt was losing me games, but when I go back and look at the replays, I see that some of the ones where it finishes really late, I still end up winning, so it must be something else that I'm just not seeing.

just a quick question. If I go 1 gate robo into 3 gate robo into expand can I hold a collosus all-in. Been playing around for a bit with a practise partner and we both can't hold the natural. I personally don't like the build because its way too passive but I was just wondering if it was at all possible.
