The best part is how many games he can play in one day. I counted a least 15 yesterday. Nothing like a cheese all-in that takes less that 10 minutes to make sure the most talented players make it to the masters and beyond. It really shows who is the best player, with solid macro, micro and decision making. Wait...
^^ btw i look at his rank now^^ 13 V; 23 looses no comment

I got this build working on Tal'Darim...put 3rd rax in center of map...

"If you pop outside and he has 6 or 7 pooled, you lost the game right there."
I believe you can still repair it well enough till next marine pops out.

Unbelievable - I faced this guy on the ladder yesterday!! I scouted the supply depot and barracks on the low ground and made three spines just to make sure (at my level on EU, this all in is actually still fairly common). When my scouting ling died a hero's death at the hands of his marine/SCV train, I started pumping lings non stop. Fifteen minutes and six Brood Lords later he quit the game, commenting "nice imba, get AIDS". ^_^

Question to the op, how is zerg or protoss supposed to counter this? I play terran myself and held this push off on ladder, but since I don't play zerg ( not any more at least ) or protoss, I am curious.

Well if you're a freak of nature, as protoss get a forge first, don't know why people do it but seen it happen, and as zerg jsut a few spines and lings - easy.

for toss all you need is like 3 sentrys , keep forcing fielding your ramp and use stalkers to pick off everything
|
Toss sometimes don't know it's coming. And they might make a sentry or 2...but then you have the pressure of FFing your ramp perfectly and occasionally you mess up and let them up. Also let stalkers pick off everything? What terran stands there A+Moving up the ramp while stalkers are shooting from the high ground and they can't shoot back? LOL. Bronze league maybe?

Some guy did this to me like 3 weeks ago, it owned me but then I won because of his lack of Eco (TvT) Edit: To clarify, I went 1-1-1, lost my whole !@#$ing base, floated my CC to a semiisland, floated my fact and starport away, mined enough to get out a banshee, killed his scvs and most of his marines, and pulled enough stunts (LOS blockers+watchtowers+hellions>>>>>marines) to win.

Is anyone doing this build nowdays? I encountered it a lot when it was new but now I rarely see it at all.
|
I actually encountered this a few days ago on my second ladder match in 3 weeks. He wanted to get rank 1 in his master league division.. xD
I lost.

And pray he isn't faking out out and going fast banshees with cloak. Thats the issue with this build, that they use the marines for map control and prevent you from confirm the push is on the way. It locks you into a potential coin flip where you need to invest in FFs or call his bluff and go 1 gate robo.
Or you can try and out play them with really good stalker control. Nothing like being forced to mirco like a boss while you oppenent A-moves at you.
One base all-ins that are extreamly difficult to scout, dominating the ladder since the beta.

if you keep forcefielding your ramp, the more time they spend waiting at the bottom of your ramp is the more time you have to keep getting more stalkers..
and lets not change the build shall we? i am refering to the 3 rax no more than 12 scv all in which is the point of this thread... Its not like there is a huge amount of units, it hits early and hard, main thing is to not miss a beat and make sure your ramp is blocked to buy you some time, and yes stalkers/sentrys are what will counter this, unless you want to tell me some non sense like blind forge and cannons. Marines and scvs are outranged by stalkers Duh. , as long as you manage to forcefield your ramp atleast twice before the army gets in, YOU win.. Pull all probes GG.

your problem is horrid lack of scouting/micro and not this build. How can u tell me this is good way to fake banshe? and how are marines getting map control over a stalker?
first of all he has to wall off at the bottom of the ramp or else a scouting probe will get in and be able to see if gas has been taken. (if a probe cant get in, then thats because the map is big and you scouted the wrong location first, because its a big map you have even more time to prepare). If he has walled off at the bottom of the ramp, keep your probe on the look out for a supply depo drop and when hes moving out. If you see no depo drop then clearly its a normal build...... So how on earth can you get faked by banshes with this build, LAWL

this build is imho quite strong (*cough* imbalanced *cough*) on slag pits on close positions. as protoss you have 2 Units the moment it hits maybe 3 if you cronoed gateway units that not enough time to delay the ramp long enough for anything to kick in.

Lol Protoss is the race made for cheese. You have so many to choose from. DTs? Proxy 2 gate? Maybe make some cannons? Or just 4 gate all in if you fell like it.
3 gate Proxy stargate all in is disgustingly strong against T and Z. Its also indistinguishable from DTs when scouting. (If not id love to know the diffs, would really help me out) Most people will just assume DTs from lack of sentries no expo etc.

Your trolling is laughable. 4 Gate is terrible against any half-decent Dia Z or T, DTs are not cheese (unless Cloaked Banshees are Cheese?), and Cannons/Proxy 2 Gates will get you nowhere near a 50% winrate.
If "cheese" is defined as strong all-ins, there should be 0% disagreement that Terran has the strongest (Tank/Banshee/Marine, Raven/Tank/Banshee/Marine, 6 Naked Rax, 2 Rax + SCVs, 3 Rax, etc. etc. etc.)

Are you seriously saying that a DT rush is not cheese? And Who do you say is trolling? And yea, ive never seen a 4 gate win in pro leagues. Course not. Oh wait......
Oh btw have you heard of combatex? Cannons/2 gate proxy in master/GM and oh look hes really really good at it and rapes top players. Before you post think about what youve written. If its silly, dont click that post button
