Sentries will not be in time to defend this without prior delay of the push. (if you went Zealot/Stalker first which is standard)

but if you manage to delay the push so you can squeeze out an additional boosted sentry to delay for warpgates to kick in.

Ok so is there any way to deal with a bunker that is walled in with two supply depots if doing this TvT... without him having a full surrond by scvs will I be able to power down the bunker with 9 rines + the 3-4 scvs that can hit the bunker as well or is it only possible for me to win it if he doesnt pull his scvs fast enough to repair? If he has 2-3 scvs at the wall should i try to snipe them down before hitting the bunker or just try to power the bunker down?

If he has a wall with a bunker you're pretty dead, unless he doesnt pull scvs to repair in time. This build is a basically freewin for your opponent if he scouts it in TvT, so the best advice would be to stop using it in TvT :>

Pretty much what i figured, I had some luck against one guy by just catching him by surprise, but another terran shut it down completely when his workers got their super fast. I guess the distance between the minerals and the ramp could be a factor as well.

Is this a good build to use on Tal'darim Altar LE in TvP, I think chrono'd sentries would be weaker because of the wider choke and it being on level ground, so avoiding being kited by stalkers would be the biggest concern.

Yea I used this in 2 TvT's and neither one i won. But in the 2 TvP's that I played I won.

In one of the TvP's I played he had a sentry but I had enough energy for a scan after my supply call down.

For the gold players here: In gold some Terrans seem to know how to defend against this: by building a bunker, but I'm still able to beat 90% of the gold terrans even if they bunker up. So if you see a bunker, just focus fire it and don't give up.

I played a TvT where a guy did the wall off at the bottom of his ramp. I over reacted in preparation for this 3 rax marine scv all in. As it turned out though.... dude just went for a no gas fe and I was kind of screwed lol.
I might be the minority on TL, but TL is the minority everywhere else.

I'm curious in a FE alternative (if you feel your opponent will be prepared) that turns into an marine scv all-in on 2 orbitals. You can support a lot of barracks off of that.

But the strength of the build is in how fast it comes. Yes, you can get a ton of Marine/SCV off of two Orbitals and like 7 Rax, but by then your opponent can have Zealot/Sentry or Banelings or Tanks and you're sort of fucked.

Sometimes for shits and giggles I'll do the low ground wall-off with a supply drop, and drop my CC at 16 and FE from there. People will often react to the low ground wall and it gives you a nice lead for your FE. But you transition into a normal game, you don't all-in later with more Marine/SCV

This strat works really well agaisnt protoss from what I have noticed. Their warp gates aren't up in time and even if they have a sentry I have managed to still get up the ramp either by having scv's partially up the ramp or I will have a scan on my Orbital.

actually, it depends on the map vs. Zerg. I've been able to defend this with Ice fisher + lings on Shacura's of a 15 hatch 16 pool with extractor trick (maybe it was without lings I can't remember), but today I've lost maybe 2 or 3 games to it on Backwater.

Its really good on Slag Pitts. I have always won whenever I have used it agaisnt Protoss. Protoss just can't get their warp gates up in time. It owns them.

Why is it every time this thread is about to die, a silver/gold/plat player feels the need to bump this so everyone can know how much success, or lack thereof they are having with this build...

edit: since a few people are asking, imo this build (EXECUTED PROPERLY) will get you to mid-high diamond on NA. Possibly a little higher. If you think players in plat can hold it off consistently, you aren't doing this build correctly.

I understand all the lower league players' interest in this build, as it is effective, but I suggest you move on to more standard play once you've done it a number of times. Abusing this build will artificially boost your MMR, and won't actually help you get better at starcraft. Even if you can with with it or get into a better league. you are hindering your progress in the long run as your play has no depth. just my opinion.

if you don't care that much about these things though and are just goofing around, by all means continue

I'm 10-1 so far with this, gold protoss. Should be a master Terran any day now. One question - do you leave SCVs on auto repair when fighting? Seems much more effective with mule getting you minerals they can basically survive forever.
