Because I was playing 14 Hatch, 14 Pool, 13 Overlord until now and I tested both builds against each other and the Outcome was at 2:22 (because afterwards it's basically the same) For 13 Overlord, 17 Hatch, 18 Pool (Build A) For 14 Hatch, 14 Pool, 13 Overlord (Build B) A) 24 Drones, Queens halfway done, 2070 Minerals mined, next Overlord almost finished B) 24 Drones, Queens already done, 1985 Minerals mined, next Overlord almost finished So my question is: Is it worth it to mine ~100 more Minerals? Because the two injects in Build B were on average ~23.5 Seconds faster than at Build A and the extra Minerals you had in Build A were just floating around anyways because I was unable to spend them. | ||

just wondering, in hots, there is no neutral rock at the ramp of the 2v2 map cristal basin, is it a "new" bug, or has it always been the case? i remember this bug happened once on the gsl maps : http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/closed-threads/352339-spoilers-gsl-metropolis-neutral-depot-situation | ||

As P you have to be ahead in bases, in order to be able to win against liberator, as lib+bio will trade positively against Protoss. So you are on 4 and they are on 3, or you are one 5 and they are on 4. Which is around the time liberators come into play. But you also have to be behind in the early game. If you go full greed and take a 3rd, it doesn't seem to be safe both vs stim pushes and drops. So basicly in the time between they take their 3rd and 4th base, you have to, as a Protoss, take your 3rd, 4th and 5th base? Is this really the case? How can this ever play out in a balanced way? It doesn't seem like it's possible to me. And yet, from what I understand, it's neccesarily the only way it can play out, if Protoss does not want to get insta stomped. | ||

It's stronger than HOTS because a) Protoss has more money (= extra pylons/cannons restricting movement/surface area etc) b) I can't scout the forge in time because forge finishes earlier and overlord gets there too late The drone transfer to the third to defend takes ages to get there so then it's too late. Should I be putting my second overlord over my 3rd as soon as I see the natural pylon and cancelling it when i see the cannon rush start, or what? Just delay taking my natural (wait for lings to kill the pylon if he didn't cancel it), and don't take the third? | ||

If he has a probe placing a pylon before you plant your natural, it smells fishy, you can afford pool first anyway. I would suggest to probably go fast gas also, this way, either he commits to cannons/more pylons to delay you, and risks a roach -ravager burst, or he goes back, and is as late as you. | ||
