How much does mutalisks glaive worm on the second and third bounce, and do they increase with upgrades?

@BM_Rawbertson: they immobilize and do 40 damage, as they do to all other armored. They don't activate hardened shields because it is damage over time.

I got a dumb question...
How do I block certain people from chat
like opponents who BM me after the match?
The only way I know how to do this so far is to friend them AND THEN block them....this is very tedious

if the first target takes X damage, then the first bounce deals X/3 damage and the last bounce deals X/9 damage (which just so happens to be (X/3)/3 ).

0 attack upgrades:

note that SC2 internally works with fractional hitpoints and damages, so the above damage numbers are not rounded in any significant way (they may be rounded on the 10th digit or so, which is insignificant).

When you click on his name after the match or in the chat window, there's a 'More...' option at the bottom. When you click it the block and report options appear.

hey guys,
i've been thinking today, why didn't protoss players use voidrays to stop 1-1-1? void rays are strong against marines as long as there is no combat shields and stimpacks on them.
i've tried to engage on the unit test map with voidrays + some gateway cannon futter vs. marines/banshees/tanks/scvs, and protoss troops won easily.
terran can indeed add vikings but in small numbers vikings don't kill voidrays quickly enough and every viking terran builds means terran doesn't build a banshee.

Voidrays are pretty terrible against marines in any case, but I'd assume its because even the best Protoss can't get out enough voidrays to defend without making silly cuts to their economy. And even if the Protoss defends, he isn't in a good position if the only tech he has up is Stargate tech.

actually voidrays aren't that bad against marines in the early game, they outrange, outdamage and outrun marines. if you manage to precharge them they kill marines even quicker.
but you're probably right, there are not many options to transition to out of stargate tech.

why dont people place creep all over the map in zvz. It gives you vision and i dont see a downside?

There's a few reasons why it might be better to not spread creep everywhere, for instance if you're planning on going Muta you can have Overlord spread provide good vision, and at the same time have less creep for your opponent to use. Overlord creep highways can also provide creep for your attacks while being removed when you don't need it anymore, again for preventing your opponent's use. Worth adding just in case you literally meant what you wrote ("gives you vision") Creep doesn't provide vision, the tumours do, though I assume you probably already knew that.

That said though, primarily it's just an APM requirement that prevents it occuring in standard ground army set ups.

Anymore advice about TvT? I would love to have a bio-transition to BC/Vikings- build, Is this possible? If anyone has done it please let me know.

I fear the enemy might scout the tech switch and...thats it..

If not, then TvT is ALWAYS mech vs mech.....?
Regarding the imbalance, hilarious to see Zergs defending themselves....

What are the strategies for PvP nowadays (after 1.4 and the ramp changes like not being able to warp in on ramp and vision nerf)?

Liquipedia hasn't been really updated I think. I mean is 4 gate still used >.>?

How does this build sound in TvT?
1rax gasless CC
get 2 more rax + double gas
tech lab 1 barracks (no reactors until later)
produce pure marines
quick combat shield --> immediately get stim after
Timing push when you have combat shield
Get +1/+1 and upgrade constantly
Be aggressive with medivacs and marines and drops, start getting tanks, and then take your third.

I tried this today and found I had no answer to 5-6 tanks, but I only won by dropping marines on them taking them out sieged when they were isolated from marine/hellion support.

4gate is still used, not every game, but enough that you still need to be prepared for it. It's a build that's used to keep people from getting too greedy, but if opponent is playing safe he'll stop it reliably. The current "standards" are 3gate robo,
robo twilight, and phoenix play. It feels like the matchup is still undeveloped, I expect more big shifts over the course of the next few tournaments.

TvT isn't always mech vs mech, but if it's mech vs non-mech, the mech player needs to make a mistake to lose. Naturally there are exceptions for maps that favor another style.

Do 3 attack tanks two shot 3/3 zerglings? Similarly, do 2 attack tanks two shot 2/2 zerglings? I've always wondered if the upgrades change this.
