You have to notice that gold league isn't just gold league, it's split into low, mid, and top. If a server is slightly stronger, a low gold player on AM could end up being top silver, giving the impression that EU is a full league stronger than AM, which isn't the case. The only server that stands out a little more is KR, in which there seems to be a larger difference partly because it's actually stronger, and partly because of metagame styles. If my zvp has always been 15h15p and no one on AM has challenged it, and everyone on kr pylon blocks+ cannons, I could have a hard time adjusting, losing games while trying to figure it out, and ultimately concluding that kr is much better than am. (though at the top levels there is some difference across all servers, I'm mostly talking about lower leagues.)

Plz respond if u can help me. I'm happy to take a look at a replay with you if you like. I'm Capybara.179 on EU. You could also make a [H] thread with a couple of your replays and a description of your problems. As long as you follow the Strategy Forum guidelines, people here are pretty nice about taking a look and helping out.

I suggest that you got to the Practice partner thread to find people to practice against, but you should just massladder and always remind yourself the following: * Can I inject? * Do I need to make overloards so I dont get supply blocked? * Do I have a lot of minerals that I can use? * Should I make drones or attacking units, if you dont know then make both. 50/50

Anything on liquidpedia under "Match-Ups and Stub Builds" are solid builds. They aren't put on there until the builds have been tested and shown at high levels of play. My Q: When and how should i go about getting the add-ons i want without putting big dent in my army. In TvP i use my fact to make add-ons then just shuffle my buildings as i dont make factory units in TvP often. but in TvT and TvZ where im using all my buildings i honestly have no idea when to get what add-ons. In TvZ especially i usually end up just putting 3-4 reactors onto my buildsings at the same time and then for the next 50 seconds im making no units out of them buildings and my resources are sky rocketing.

Except against buildings 3/3 Marines are no better then 0/0 Marines given that your opponent also upgrades his units to the same level. Am I missing something or are lots of people just talking bullshit? It's the drops that become dead scary once they have 3/3 marines, sniping tech withing mere seconds. Also Protoss usually doesn't get shield upgrades.

But a good player also upgrades so i think only bad people say they are scary. As stated above, 3/3 marines are scary when dropped into your base from a medivac. Imagine that you are a Protoss playing against a Terran and you have a maxed 200/200 army. You are out in the middle of the map controlling the watchtowers when suddenly there are 8 marines at the expansion furthest away from you and 4 marauders in your main destroying valuable tech. You can't warp-in because you are maxed, so you have to split your army to deal with this threat, and the whole time you are responding to the drops, they are doing massive damage. The 3/3 upgrades on these units allow them to do insane damage to your tech/probes in a matter of seconds.

Of course, back then the in-game-draw feature didn't exist so they had to sit in the game for a good 5-10 minutes while the players talked with the ref about calling the match a draw.

I almost saw a good one today on the Korean weekly but the player solved it with a clever viking drop haha. Thanks for the reply!

+ Show Spoiler + gtfo, try it yourself kinda answers: ty, I'm at work ATM, gonna try this weekend hopefully 2. Anyone who is not a Terran ever uses that technique (I mean, low wall)? Say, a Protoss going for some void-lol rush etc. Thank you!

I've never seen a toss full wall like that, i don't really see much of a reason to do so. You're basically committing to one base pretty hard and the zerg will be very cautious when they see that low ground wall. You're better off opening 'standard' (as far as drone scout will see) if you want to cheese. note: this is rare but sometimes I see zerg players low ground wall with an evo and a spine crawler. Drones and lings can run through this wall but almost all other units can not. Pretty useful if you get caught off guard by some sort of stupid mass hellion push.

I've been opening Phoenix into an expansion, then going Chargelot/Archon, but I'm having trouble holding the 2 Colossi push that most opponents respond with. IMO phoenix play in PvP is not about harass, it's about just killing your opponent. My follow up to a phoenix opener is to a-move and win (well, a-move with some g's).

Yes, I'm talking about that kind of wall, sorry for blurry explanation) The one with gaps I mean (2x2 + 3x3). Was curious if there's a way to squeeze a scout there somehow, despite the fact it's kinda complete wall.
