CustomCraft is an Extension Mod for Starcraft 2 that allows players to customize their race's unit loadout, macro mechanic, and defensive abilities. Players can in essence, customize the tech tree as they desire. Currently the mod features 8 custom unit choices, 2 new alternative macro abilities per race, and 2 new alternative defensive abilities per race.

With CustomCraft there are hundreds of possible combinations of units and abilities. This mod is created with the aim of creating exponentially more diverse games than standard melee play.

At the start of a match, players are given the option to customize their unit loadout, as well as pick from some different macro mechanics and defensive abilites. For example, a Zerg player might choose to give her Queens the Chrono Boost ability instead of Inject Larva, and choose to be able to train Lurkers at the expense of being unable to build Swarmhosts.

The mod features mostly units from Brood War with a few from the campaigns. The mod could easily be expanded to include further units but in the meantime it needs balance testing.

You can currently play against the A.I. however they will currently not change their unit picks from the default. I may add the option the option to pick the A.I.'s loadout or randomize it at a later time.

CustomCraft is an Extension Mod and can be accessed through the Custom Games section of B.net.

Click on Browse Maps on the left side of the screen. Choose any melee map to play on. Once you have selected your desired map, click on Create with Mod.

In the upper right, search for CustomCraft. ** Note that on EU the mod name is "TF CustomCraft"Double click on the mod to enter the lobby. You can also right click to view the Extension Mod Info.

Default units / Optional Custom Unit

Choosing the optional custom unit renders the default unit unavailable. Likewise, choosing the Default unit renders the optional custom unit unavailable.

Terran

Marine / UED Marine - Same as Marine but learns U-238 Shells instead of Combat Shields.
Marauder / Firebat
Hellion / Vulture - w/ Spider mines
Thor / Goliath
Medivac / Medic (Choosing the Medic enables the Dropship as well)
Banshee / Wraith
Ghost / Spectre - Has the AoE stun from the campaign.
Raven / Science Vessel - Same as SC1 science vessel


Zerg

Zergling / Raptor Strain Zergling - Comes 1 per Egg but is stronger. Cliff jumping is a hive tech upgrade that replaces Adrenal Glands.
Roach / Aberration
Hydralisk / Lurker Strain Hydralisk Costs only 1 food and 75/25, but has reduced hp, range, and damage.
Swarm Host / Lurker - w/ Available rang upgrade
Corrupter / Devourer w/ Acid Spores
Brood Lord / Guardian
Infestor / Defiler - Same as SC1
Viper / Queen - Same as flying SC1 caster

Protoss

Stalker / Dragoon w/ Singularity charge at the Cyber core

Automated Refineries
From the campaign, but operate at 50% unless an orbital command casts a spell to speed them up.

Perdition Turrets
Strong turret that can protect an orbital command.

Can recall, cast Lockdown, and summon Predators. Not a detector.

Automatically mines minerals.
Quantum Reactor
Allows production of two units at once for a short time.

Protoss Defensive

Dark Pylon
Pylons can spawn smaller cloaked pylons that provide no supply but can be spread over time at no cost.
Shield Battery
Restores shields of friendlies in an area.
Mothership Core
Can cast recall, time warp, and Nexus cannon.

Is the automated refinery mining an upgrade? 'Casue now I'm using SCV's as regular...
The Cyclone doesn't have a hot key.

All in all the felt like a regular game, the only difference was that the cyclone was avaliable.

Cyclone? Not sure what that is. If you are trying to play this mod on EU, it is not up yet. The name was already taken and i need to come up with another name for the eu publish. It can be played on na and kr. I'll publish it to eu later tonight.

You're searching for Extension Mods, right? It's not an Arcade map, rather a mod that can be applied to any melee map.
