Kind of derailing the actual thread here but I also agree that a map of the month (Or something similar) is an amazing idea - not only would it spread the best maps around quickly, it will motivate map makers to try harder!

So what now ... in my question i asked if we're allowed to send a map to a contest we made lets say during octobre. This map will then be judged but isn't allowed to take place within a contest again.

If this isn't allowed i wont participate. There are so many good maps that made pre this contest and why shouldn't they get a chance to get judged?

Tarsonis stronghold looks like a really good map. One of the best maps I've seen (not that I've seen many though)

The other one looks kinda iffy. There's so many paths, and they all seem rather narrow. While having lots of paths is somewhat good for zerg, having the paths narrow is terrible for zerg, and I think that will just trump the balance.
