Wasn't it that probes are like 24% faster than scv/drone, scv has 60 hp and drone has 1 range?

yea but the result of that discrepancy was so negligible it wasn't really worth implementing.

As maverck said. Those numbers may be true for 1 patch, but in practice mining efficiency is essentially the same between the races. And it's absolutely nowhere near 18%.

it seems in the U.S. server there seems to be a few bugs on the only map there is (FS) i put the setting on bw and it still stays on sc2 settings.

MavercK, may I ask a random question of, if you were to make a few balance changes to brood war, what would they be?
For me I'd probably lower the cost of the Queen and the Devourer and Scout... or maybe have Ensnare not needed to be researched. I'm not really sure about Terran

yea, i dont have drastic changes in mind, but those things you mentioned that barely ever get used, they need a role, something more unique that they can do.

Hi MavercK. I've never used the Star Editor and I hardly know the basics about video game coding. Do you happen to have a tutorial on how to make some of the more major changes that you did? I'm interested in creating a custom map myself that uses some of BW's units and sounds. Any help or guidance to get me started would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Nalier, I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's because you don't have HotS. I only play this on the NA server, but it uses a few HotS dependent models sorry. Try to keep an eye out for HotS to be on special so you can play it

yea it's probably due to missing HotS, the only strange thing is those errors don't reference HotS assets at all so it could be something else.

Thanks for your responses I don't really want to get HotS just yet, but it seems that I can play this mod through the Arcade and everything works (at least looks like it's working) so it's OK for me. Also, Maverick, I'd like to say that this is outstanding work. I'm really happy to be able to play sc1 style with sc2 graphics. And all those sounds and voices imported to this mod - makes me feel very nostalgic
