I wasnt so sure why you were doing the probe at first, but damn it looks great. It have a good BW feeling to it. cheers

And MavercK, yes its missing the blue lazer thing that would come out for mining. The one for attack is still there. Im still trying to get the mining laser in there, i'll focus on that as soon as im done with all the texturing. The mining lazer is part of the original sc2 probes model. I tried combining it with my model but it looks like I'd have to re-animate the laser. Thats probably what I'll end up doing. | ||

The probe that was just posted, as well as the defiler and guardian and queen. They look great, like updated SC1 models, but they aren't all cartoonized like everything else in SC2, and it kind of makes them stand out. Just look at the probes compared to the nexus to see what I mean. Not that this is a huge deal or anything, just a bit of an observation. In a perfect world, every model would be redone to look realistic and SC1-ish, but then the map size would probably be way beyond what's allowed, putting aside all the effort that would have to go into that. | ||

Right now, its like a simple 3D model of a SC1 unit+ a detailed texture from SC2, which doesnt quite match and it looks flat. I think that it needs detail in the model itself, not just drawn into the model. and for what TedJustice says about gna's model, making the model a little rough should make it look fine cuz they look somewhat sharp and detailed than the units of sc2 | ||
