While this is still entertaining, I feel like Marine+Tank TvZ like we saw in WoL was much more entertaining. TvZ is in a sense the 'classic' starcraft matchup, and tanks are a staple of that. Widow mines just make the matchup feel weird. A problem with TvZ in HotS is that, at least from the terran side, the matchup has been 'optimized'. The reaper opening is 'optimal' because it is safe and economic. The 3CC build is 'optimal' unless you spot early aggression. And long-term economic plays are 'optimal' because it's so hard to get anything done early game. PvZ We're seeing a lot more variation in this matchup now thanks to the mothership core and other new units. I think it's a lot more entertaining than its WoL counterpart. There is the danger of stalemates on maps such as Newkirk and Daybreak, but as long as we get more interesting maps into the map pool this shouldn't be a problem. TvP The best matchup, both to play and spectate. There's potential for anything to happen right from the early game, and HotS only made this better. TvT Overall I think this is an improvement from WoL. However, I feel like hellbat drops are too strong (or people need to deal with it better) and they're starting to get boring. PvP Really haven't seen many PvPs. The new tactics seem interesting but there's the risk that they can be too coin-flippy, which can be bad for both players and spectators. ZvZ At the ling/bling stage it's still pretty exciting, but when we get to mutas it's horrible. Hopefully the spore change will help with that.

Personally I like TvT and TvP if they do not just end in like 7 minutes. Then comes TvZ if it goes into late game. I feel that hots is not really an improvement from wol unfortunately....it does not fix the problems: 1) Zerg is weak vs early pressures, but it gets new/upgraded units for mid-late game which they are strong enough already. As seen at the end of WoL, Zerg dominated, with 5 zerg players with highest win ratios on gom's site. 2) Protoss, known for that strong late game, and blizzard adds the tempest and better voids....I think photon overcharge is not a bad upgrade for protoss, but i think its range is overpowered.... 3) Terran became I would say the weakest race at the end of WoL I would say (although it did start out as the strongest), and have problems with the late game. That is why terrans always like to mix in some gimmicky plays and cheeses. But hots does not fix this and instead gives it more cheese-able units like widow mines, hellbats and medivac boost......

I can understand it being boring when you dont see the intricacies of the match. Its so beautiful but it makes me sad that so many people wont get to experience it the same way T.T

Its so beautiful but it makes me sad that so many people wont get to experience it the same way T.T That could really be said about any matchup ![]() While muta wars themselves are far from stale and boring, I think that the fact that only a small part of the zerg arsenal is used time and time again is currently making the matchup as a whole rather dull and repetitive. Edit: Voted for zvz as the least entertaining ![]()

Imo, its the most dynamic of mirrors. mutawars/free units vs free units stalemate or the guy who has more colossus arent that appealing to me. but hey thats just me.

Muta v Muta takes skill but is not intense as a viewer... it's usually clear who's slightly ahead and slightly behind due to ling runbys and the like, and once they both think they can fight, just one big A-Move muta flock v muta flock... game is decided in 5 seconds and in a very boring 5 seconds....

Obviously it's due to the lack of diversity one sees in that MU. zvz = muta vs muta or simply ling/bling/roach attacks.... that is currently being tried to be changed by upgraded spore dmg heheh

We aren't seeing much diversity in the matchup right now and idk I just don't find it that great. I still enjoy watching it but overall I do find it the worst to watch right now. No... a lot of people just misread the question.
