Sadly there are many people doubting him because of the old "SC2 excuse." The truth is, Flash didn't lose last night because of practicing for SC2, but because Fantasy had the better read on Flash's mindset. And Fantasy's control/multitasking have clearly stepped up to the same level as Flash as well. Maybe even higher now, as hard as that may be to believe.

And Dmatrixed tanks actually made vs high ground engagements in game 1 cost efficient. Brilliant series from Fantasy that sadly trounced unprepared Flash, while game 1 was close it was going downhill from game to game. Flash should have made a better research. I dont buy the shit he was skipping BW, it was just he practiced what he did all the time while Fantasy changed and Flash not thus giving Fantasy an upper hand. It seemed kinda like Savior vs Bisu MSL case. One player comes prepared with his own style, other dominant for years player comes with "im confident with my style" mindset. It was not revolution but it was evolution, sadly we will not see the next chapter. edit:few edits.

I'd say this was more like Oov vs July in Shinhan Bank OSL (2005). Except where the role of aggressive player vs defensive player is flipped.

But i disagree: Flash has been on a steady (sudden?) BW decline since SC2. He would never lose to someone like Bogus, and would probably pull something against Jangbi.

It's worth pointing out that Fantasy cruised this OSL up until the Ro4. Ro16 and Ro8 were piss easy.

If the quarterfinals had been switched, either Flash or fantasy would have wrecked ZerO, and the other one would likely have played a 3-2 match vs Jangbi. I don't know who would win; I feel like Jangbi would edge Flash and fantasy would edge Jangbi but I could be wrong on either or both. fantasy, Flash, and Jangbi are likely 1-2-3 if we get another PR. fantasy is #1 unless he loses. Flash is #2 if Jangbi loses Jangbi could end up anywhere from #1 (if he wins convincingly) to #2 (if he wins a tight match) to #3 (loses a tight match), to... number 5 or 6 or something, except with only one league and PL being wonky it's hard to put anyone else higher.

This is the way BW ends, not with a bang but a whimper.

And yeah other people won't get behind him due to being Flash fans, or SKT antifans, or people that hate Terran, or for ruining Bisu's chances at that one OSL semifinal etc etc

In my opinion Fantasy doesn't stick out from the other progamers. There is nothing really "special" about him.

I cant say ive ever really been a fan of Fantasy but the last couple of season he has really show us what he is truly capable of. In 2009 Fantasy was like a hurricane capable of crush any player he faced. JD was in top form ever, and Fantasy still menaged to have a 4 WIN STREAK against him at one point. Only some blunders in TvZ, and a modern terran mech vs Zerg still in early stages of developement, put him little behind. And than there was a slump of 2010...many players wanted to have a "slump" like this, with MSL semifinal against the best player ever, lost with a slightest margin. How peaple could even forget this is just blowing my mind.
