Then Flash comes along and perfect it with his game sense.

#1 Fantasy unless something dramatic happens in the finals The others, good luck ranking. Um, I'll list my next five in alphabetical order Bisu Flash JangBi Stork ZerO My head tried to explode not only in picking their order, but in deciding who the next four would be. When I started talking to myself about Trap and Action I almost passed out.

1. Jangbi. Honestly even now I have questions about his play, but he wrecked fantasy last night. The one game he lost was a failed DT rush. True, the only game that played out "standard" was game 1, but he forced fantasy into cutting corners and cheese did the rest. 2. fantasy. He's the previous #1. He's the OSL silver medalist. He beat Flash handily a week and a half ago. (Side note: I think Flash looked closer to fantasy than fantasy looked to Jangbi, even though fantasy won a game in the finals - mirror effect or just luck?) 3. Flash. He can only fall so far, I think, given the lack of - let's be honest - any really meaningful games outside the OSL, and no one has stepped up to impress. Also, Flash. The rest I'm not sure about. Looking over results, Bisu, EffOrt, Stork, and SoulKey deserve spots, and ZerO for his semifinal. But the rest of PL top performers have been fairly unknown or off the rank for a while - and I really haven't been watching much - so I'm not sure what to do for the last couple spots.

Yet you have to shoot the horse. Don't expect anything too soon though.

The way Flash played in SPL for two years on top of his 5 titles during that time, it was just shocking. I value Boxer as the player who made SC:BW into what it is, but accomplishment wise and gameplay wise, I don't think he compares to the very very best of the very very best. He was the first and he was brilliant. I still remember when I first got my hands on a replay of his in like 2000 or 2001, and it made my mind explode, it was not the terran race I knew until then. Savior invented modern Zerg play, but Jaedong perfected it, and as with Boxer, I value perfection more than invention. Oov is probably the scariest 5th place finisher of all time, I can't believe I have 4 players ahead of him. Bisu is unquestionable the best Protoss of all time, he managed to do what so few others could: actually win several tournaments. I don't know if I value Julyzerg too highly, but such a unique player and a winner (Golden Mouse) on top of it must be top10 somehow. Fantasy with all his finals-appearances and his impeccable SPL Grand Finals record is just the next best terran after all the big hitters. Stork gets the edge over Jangbi somehow because... I don't even know why, just feeling. And I am a huge Jangbi fan. IF BW would continue for 2 more years I could actually see Jangbi overtake Bisu as the best protoss ever. When I watch Jangbi, sometimes I feel with his talent only the sky is the limit (especially in PvT). And Yellow, at CNBC, just the story of his live lol. He played during a time where Zergs had it rough in ZvT and he made it work better than anybody else. But he would need at least one major title to make my list. Well, this was fun to think about.

setting the criteria for an all-time PR would just be too subjective (i.e. absolute skill level vs innovations/contributions to the game)

However, it will be difficult to do an all-time PR just because imo its impossible to compare players from different eras. For example, we wouldn't really know how NaDa during his prime would perform against a new generation player like FanTaSy.
