What happened a couple days ago has nothing to do with the fact that Bisu had exactly one good day during the two and a half month PR period. To be brutally honest, Bisu's season on the whole was unimpressive and R3 was the low point for him.

That one day happened to be the single most important day of the season, and the most important games of the day (first and last in the series). That day alone should have carried enough weight to at least rank him above JD whose only claim to glory in the dying days of R3 was beating down on a couple of largely underwhelming players without playing all that impressive himself (which apparently was all it took for him to rise from below PR status to above Bisu).

I suppose the point is that whatever implied Jaedong-power-factor was taken into account to rank him there has clearly been overstated, which was apparent throughout the season. The last few days are just conclusion/evidence.

Uhm what? Jaedong has been ranked very appropriately all season. Prior to when this ranking was made there was a lot of clamor that Jaedong was, if anything, too low, especially with his frighteningly powerful ZvZ performances. It's not like anyone with an unbiased opinion would have predicted that Jaedong would fail in a Zerg dominated group. And at the time this ranking was made, Jaedong was still in OSL while Bisu had dropped out... again, which hurt him a lot in light of the lackluster games he had been playing throughout 2012.

Moreover, you're badly overstating the significance of Bisu's wins. Of course for winning the ace match Bisu gets the credit, but the real hero of the day was Fantasy. The fact is that SKT needed to beat Flash in the regular sets (where KT could send him on any map they desired) in order to even make it to the ace match, where they could face Flash on their chosen map, in what turned out to be a really scrappy cheese-fest.

I disagree with it being a "really scrappy cheese-fest" though. The game was tense and very high level. It also got to midgame and showcased both players' situation management skills and mental strength. Even the commentators said that if they weren't playing each other, they would've already won.

Absolutely Agreed 100%. The recent Power Ranks as of late have been rather inconsistent in terms of how it looks at player's performances. Although, that's not to say this is flamewheel's fault 100%. The lack of games/ imbalance of games recently does make it harder to judge on a fair basis.

I'm ok with Fantasy having #1 for the month because that finals win was impressive and he had a similar record going into the playoffs. However, Flash is still the favourite in a BoX against anyone in the scene so Flamewheel saying he's the best player whilst placing him #2 for the month is fine imo.

there are improvements with the PR, finally stats is out of the list. bisu needs to be above JD.

TLPD just records BW and it records SC2. No sweat there. But I'm pretty much guessing PR is dead at this point.

Why would it be dead? We still have PL and OSL for BW. There might be added a PR for SC2 if it doesn't exist yet, but for BW I think it should be kept and live more than all other PRs will ever dream!

When the time comes when Korea completely transition into SC2, turn this section into Foreigner Power Rank. This way, more competitions within the community. This shall be reserved for bragging rights. We need to get Clan War going at every single month, show matches with Koreans, then of course Defiler Tour, ISL and etc.

We can even diverge the PR into Top Foreigners and the Bottom Ones. Kinda like Code S and Code A of GSL. From there, there is a possibility to work something seeding related out for tournaments.

So yeah PR is a part of the tradition, to remove it is an act of desecration.
