Iloveoovs total score before savior beat him was 156-77, 66,9%. Well before July beat iloveoov, iloveoov was at a total record of incredible 77-21, 78,6% win. After July and until he was crushed by savior his record was more humanlike, 79-56, 58,5% win. I don't think he was considered a bonjwa after keeping a steady 58,5% win percentage. If the bonjwa title came after july it was surely because of the period before july. Since October 2008, Flash has the total score of 151-49 which is 75.5%. Before he started playing godly last july he was 87-33, 72,5% win. Since he started to really play godly in july last year Flash is 72-12, with 85,7% win. Almost same number of wins just flash playing ALOT better than oov in his prime. Only thing missing is medalcount. 1st ELO, Kespa and PR at the same time and on a 5month streak on top of PR on top of that. Gz FlaSh! | ||

Regarding win %'s, more and more I dislike using them in cross generation analysis. What matters most is your dominance over other S-class players in head-to-head. When an S-class player faces off against a scrub, I expect with 80% certainty that the S-class player will take the game. Between mid 2008 and early/mid 2009, Flash was having poor showings in tournaments, not winning the games he should have. If you look at his win percentages in this time period, they were very high. Truly he was a good player, but in the past a player going through a "slump" like that would have had a lower win percentage. What's so impressive about Flash now isn't his win percentage but the way he marched through JD, Calm, Zero and Kwanro on his way to the finals of both leagues. Even though JD won the MSL, Flash had everything stacked against him (not just the power outage or the heater problem or even his busy schedule, but also the fact that JD had a wealth of recent televised Flash TvZ games to study to prepare those builds). But it's too soon to call Flash bonjwa when JD was sharper player not last season, but the season before. Flash needs a repeat performance -- solid play all around and a Starleague finals appearance again this season. Shit. I'm so sleepy that I'm rambling now and can't remember why I started writing. Well, I'll just post this and hope it makes sense. | ||
