The "kong" is a reference in finishing second that originated in BW with the zerg player Yellow. So as Jaedong is one character away from Jaekong (and l is next to k on most keyboards) it's a nice little detail to put in.
I think the word kong actually means bean or something, I'm not that good at Korean though.

lol I sat there and stared at the Jaekong name for like a full minute before I figured out what it meant. I'm retarded, made me laugh when I finally did though. Even though it's a new game and all, I still kinda think it's weird to add the "Kong" title to someone that has had so many championships before. Meh, that's just me though.
