And it's okay if you can't log on for a few days.
The downside is almost half the players are replaced usually by the end of the game, just because the game lasts so long.
I recommend that people who want to play mafia but can't due to busy lives or being unfairly banned check it out.
interesting. what is the skill level like? haven't played on another forum but I'm pretty satisfied with the skill level here...
work has been a bitch, but I do want to get back into things.
also paging HTS if you are here, I know you're deleting your tl account soon, don't do it IMO, but do take a look at mafiascum if you are ever inclined to do forum mafia again. not sure what the skill level is, but longer cycles might be up your alley.
I think the skill level on average is maybe a little bit lower than on this site. Which surprised me, because the site is dedicated to forum mafia. But it varies a lot of course.
TL mafia is a lot better tbh. but once you get used to the slower games it's harder to get back into the 48 hr day commitment of TL.

You'd think more time would be pro town, but all the replacements kind of balance it out.

They move a hell of a lot faster than DotA characters
So you're wrong, it's not about speed as no one has shown interest in WoT either. It's about A. The grind involved B. The selfsame reason I don't get into DotA: time spent versus interest.
People were initially interested in DotA here, I never was.
I was interested in RTS but not really much by comparison. When SC2 grew less, my interest completely faded (I do not have LotV)
WoWs got my attention however.
Why? It had RTS elements I was interested in (Aircraft carrier play) that I felt might be worth the grind.
It wasn't at the time (I started CV play again with 0.5.5) but I fell in love with Battleships.

Hence Newairfish became Blazingsandman.
Are these RTS aircraft boats worth it now?
I still prefer BB/CA but yes. They've been reworked and have actual strategy now.

Never played, it takes into account where you hit the ship and everything?
yes. it had crazy customization tho and a bit more like an rpg with leveling specific crew. but the fights played out quite the same with as many as 64vs64 ship battles with carriers torpedo boats even subs.
it had bb/ca/cl/dd/cv just like this game. infact that game more or less killed navyfeild as a direct sequel but thats ok because it was ran by sitters and became pay to win which is why I stopped playing it.

Yeah, WoWs is teetering on that. Ships like Texas come to mind...
That's the only one so far though. People said Tirpitz (T8) was PTW but I can blast a Tirpitz from my Colorado (T7) any day.
Heck I have taken it on in Błyskawica (T7) and taken it down to ~10% before finally dying myself... ...without torpedos actually hitting. Fires set alone did that much damage to a Tirpitz
So yeah, though Błyskawica is paid also, tirp is by no means PTW- so we may find the same is true of Texas.
