The experience became worse for some people. (including me). Just because it became more stressful. Well... "stressful" raiding MC for months with green pauldrons while being the Hunter Class captain (it had another name lol) in the third best guild on Skullcrusher, talking to the guys from Last Resort and Method (? or was Method the good alliance guild, I forgot, there were at least 2 extremely good Horde guilds though Highest top tier in the world) was pretty fun. I remember that point because later it was unthinkable you had 6 epic tier set items but green shoulders. But back in the day people frowned but it was funny and didn't care. Because there were no fucking dps meters and shit and people just felt you did good and helped etc. Even at the end when dps meters became a thing it was a tool to help you improve, not judge you etc. But the +1h BG queues because you could queue to only 1 fucking BG at the same time while Horde has a WAYYY bigger population than Alliance was pretty shit compared to 5 years later. rerolled for it. same for the party forming for a dungeon. timesink holy shit. If somebody left the group you could lose an hour. same for the progress and content. (super mega slow progress made it look like there was a lot of content though) etcetc gameplay and content got 50 times better. The feeling playing the game 50 time worse. + nobody got time for that anymore. I was like 16 or 17 when I played WoW. Then I had 3-4 free days a week. (Which wasn't enough to be top tier  ) | ||

BUT I disagree with "vanilla was better" for PvP (I didn't do much PvE). TBC's arenas were super awesome. I loved WOTLK solo quests but I didn't like the PvP so I quit. I just started again a month ago. Hopefully PvP is good again but seeing the general consensus my hopes are not high. I also agree with the general sentinement that cross-server stuff is the dumbest shit ever and killed anything ressembling server reputation, the sentiment that you were part of a few thousands players during vanilla / TBC were so good. This cross-realm feature is super shit. | ||
