We need to be careful about lynches in this game. A lot of lynches have ended up tied in the past, and they worked out because of the most votes first mechanic(an example of this is DrH's experimental haunted mafia, day 1 lynch), but could end in disaster in this one. Double lynching by mistake is a good way to lose quickly and painfully.

Also, i'm going to be cracking down on people who are voting for people who are unlikely to get lynched without seriously pushing for such a lynch. It's practically an abstain vote, and abstain votes are scummy as all hell.

Maybe later on in the game. First and second day the likelihood of lynching more than 1 scum, or even lynching scum at all, is a good deal lower than in the late game, when connections can be found between players and it becomes possible to associate one scum with another.

If we can find scum on the first day we should lynch them, and not push our luck by lynching their best friend too.

not so, my friend. let me give you an example. The lynch leaders are Ciryandor and GMarshal. If i were to vote Nisani, giving reasons and attempting to convince people to switch, that would be cool. on the other hand, if i were to say "yeah, those guys are pretty scummy, but i'm voting for nisani," and make no effort to actually get nisani lynched, that would not be cool.

I could go and find an example of scum doing it if you'd like, I think i remember somebody in PTP 2.

statistically unlikely, but possible that at least one of the scum hasn't posted yet. Lots of vets too. JeeJee, OrigninalName (vets compared to the very new playerbase of this game)
