I think people listen to you a lot more when you're mafia than when you're town haha. But yes there is a very long list of games where town failed to listen. I don't even want to count. It's a lot, lot easier for Ace or L to sway the general opinion then someone like me. I'm definitely a victim of this and it sucks. oh yeah i'm totally /in when this starts Reputation is a double edged sword though. People listen to you more but you are also under much closer scrutiny and people are more apt to get suspicious of you for no reason other than you're alive.

You are under pressure to be very active, and people expect you to just be able to nab mafia every game without them doing anything. This can be great if you're mafia because it is pretty easy to build up sheep bandwagons, but it can be pretty stressful as town because you have to be on your game all the time.

I haven't done this before and would like to sit back and watch the game unfold from the other side of the looking glass ![]() It's actually better for learning if you talk to the host and get roles in bits and pieces. As in you ask the host to check your reads as you make them, rather than just watching how everyone plays their role.

I'm another one of those newish mediocre players that half lurks his way though every game and I would like to change that. But I definitely need to wait until sengoku is over, I found out a few games ago that I cannot handle two games at once. Its ok if you can't do two games at once. I frown upon people playing in multiple games at one. Diverts attention and makes people less invested in each game. Just playing in one game should suck up enough time already. Ask Ver or Qatol. Multiple games also allows for slipups.

God spending up to 10 hours a day on XXVIII was ridiculous. So much lurking so much planning so much PM crafting. Definitely couldn't have handled two games at once. Of course a new thread will be started. It's just like any other game. Amber if you want the role list up to you but listen to le Qatol (too lazy to check now) youngminii not looking to change how veterans are viewed too much. Just trying to even out the playing ground more.

Me and BC were actually talking and I think we are going to try to turn this into some sort of bootcamp game, but we haven't really talked specifically on how that is going to work out. I figured boot camp games would be small not 30ish players but I will talk with him and we will post something soon hopefully.

Going to come up with a list of pre-determined setups that hosts can be used (tweaked for 25, 30, 35, etc.) since that makes it more clearly defined than letting a host "tweak a setup within reason". Someone should PM Plexa and have him let those people in before this starts so they have a chance to observe/participate in a normal game like this right off the bat. I don't think Plexa likes being disturbed much with regards to this. He does it periodically enough though, so they won't have too long to wait.

The 30 person games have been the standard and gotten consistently solid results. If bootcamp games are too small then they'll just get stale over time due to less variety.
