yes but my point is, if, for example, you wanted to message the leader of france, you know exactly who to message to talk to the leader of france. here, if i want to message the leader of, say, 19 to form an alliance, i have no idea who to talk to.

Um no I didn't. I never said someone other than 17 claimed to you. You quoted a bunch of posts and none if it says that. Uh.. you clearly talk about fake claiming... -.-. You even fake claimed that you were 16 yourself... Do you need me to quote that post again? Show nested quote + No, jcarl posted about how they could be allied and I said Masons. Exactly, you are speculating that they could be Masons. That seems very unlikely, especially if they were both town 13 would have to be a solider.
How is that unlikely? No roles have flipped and no countries have flipped so you do not know that. 13 doesn't have to be a soldier if he gets AID from anyone else. Do we know if it's a 2 or 3 person Mason group? We don't know ANYTHING about 13 or who he's allied to or what role him or his allies have. So you saying "that seems very unlikely" is bullshit. No information has been revealed through death. You are clearly grasping at straws in an attempt to make a futile defense. I am pointing out what you are doing. Are you trying to convince me this is a solid argument? Show nested quote + Firstly, this was the main point of your argument you are now backing down on your main point <noted> Secondly, this is your main defense of Hesmyrr. I'm giving Hesmyrr a chance to confirm your defense of him. He didn't. There goes your defense.
I'm not backing down from my "main point". Keep taking notes though, hope you've got a lot of paper to jot this all down. That is also not my defense of Hessmyrr. My defense of Hesmyrr is your unending motivation to see him lynched. If Hessmyrr is Scum, and you believe it to be so, and I'm defending him but he doesn't "confirm" my defense to you then what does that prove? nothing. Because I bet if Hessmyrr did "confirm" my defense of him your next point would be - LOOK! He is defending him and Hessmyrr confirmed! They are both scum! So you thought a lot about what Hesmyrr would do. Hmmm... Maybe I should use your same argument. Hey! Ace thought a lot about Hesmyrr! Maybe their scum buddies together You are defending him with stuff like, "Oh! 13 must have claimed to Hessmyrr"! Hesmyrr has denied that. So now your defending it with. "Oh Look! LSB is attacking Hesmyrr. That means that Hesmyrr can't be scum" This is a chainsaw defense. You are defending Hesmyrr by trying to make me look bad. Show nested quote + I don't get how "we misread the rules" applies to Hesmyrr knowing what was going to happen. We just sent in our night action wrong. That is my motivation
. Lies. You had to know how attacks were going to happen, especially if you're in alliance. No way that an alliance of a few people ALL skipped that simple explanation. Then when your mishap was blown up by moi, you came up with some bullshit scenario that would have led to 24 and 23 both having to be scum, and there being a Scum mole in your group. LOL. Remember how quickly you stopped talking that shit when I shot it down? Exactly. So you've been jumping to conclusions all day to make Hessmyrr look bad. Uh what? Are you saying SIFZ attacked Hesmyrr so we can start an internal cleansing? Thats complete bull. We attacked him because 1) we like to expand. 2) He could have been scum. There's a reason why you aren't in here. It's because you reak of scum and desperation I stopped talking about that because Hesmyrr provided a coincidental explanation. However it happened again and I don't trust this many coincident. Look at my quote. Show nested quote +Ok you addressed, it's not an issue anymore. I haven't even commented on this again so why bring this up? Explain Likewise for people wondering why neutrals aren't popped - why take neutrals when you can take other players out? +1 vote is less useful than +1 vote and -1 to another player.
Stop contradicting yourself, it is getting seriously annoying What? You explained 18, I stopped talking about it. How does me explaining why someone would want to pop a province over a neutral have anything to do with the conversation with 18? You are REALLY grasping for straws here. You asked me about why the neutrals haven't popped. I awsered. Now you are accusing me of talking about something that you apparently didn't talk about? WTF is this shit? TL DR: Ace says "Hey! LSB Why are you talking about these things?" LSB says, "Because you asked me to" Ace says, "No I didn't" LSB goes. -.-
*yawn*

If you really need protection just ask me. I'm about 4 borders away from you right now but I'm about to carve a path of destruction all the way to SIFZ.
Or maybe I'll just pop one directly tonight. Not quite sure how I want to gobble them all up yet.

I think I need sometime to read the whole discussion. But from what I skim through, there are only around 4 or 5 people posing since the Day post. A lot of players seem to just sit there and do nothing. I'm more afraid of those players, since Mafia usually play very quietly (like NB in Insane Mafia or Divinek in Haunted Mafai). Maybe we should try to get them speak up some more to get more information?
That doesn't make much sense. Unless everyone claims (which has been discussed already), then people talking is not of too much help. It's easy to talk and be tough (or not), give orders, make plans, if nobody knows who you are in the game.
So, what exactly would you like me to talk about? Basically, people can only talk about other people's posts. So what you're pushing for is pretty much a sh*t storm.
Most of the game will be decided by night actions at least for the first 3-4 days.

explain again why a mass claim is a bad idea? at least it will let us be on equal footing with mafia, who have their team's numbers no problem
|
by mass claim i mean at least put your name to the number, dont claim powers or anything
|
I'm against a Mass claim because people will see how many votes you control and now we'll have a problem. Instead of lynching for Scum people will start lynching to eliminate big countries, or having NAPs to pop said countries and cut them down to size.
But if you guys want to know what country I am I have no problem telling you, just ask me.

Just kidding!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

i bet he lost his country already.

an ace in a deck of cards is sometimes counted as one...

While true, I'm not sure that has any significance. He chose 3 provinces and got one of them, just like us. Do you have reason to believe he could be province 1?

How long do we have until the night start?

Uhh...it looks like about 15 minutes =X
|
So when do we plan on lynching people, if ever?
|
I have no idea, it kinda requires people to be active in the thread and voting...
|
What I meant is that I don't know of any reason to lynch since night actions are pretty much untraceable and we don't have any DT role or anything.
Hesmyrr has little evidence against him and LSB has even less
Also votes from the previous days don't carry over right?

Yeah, I'm not sure if there are any informational roles or anything that would really help us out with a lynch, so they're pretty unreliable and mostly a crap shoot I guess.
I really think Hesmyrr just got caught up in semantics, and I voted him because I found it a bit suspicious, but I'm not all too convinced.

Night Phase
![[image loading]](http://www.ww2incolor.com/news/images/1235.jpg)
Once again, nobody had earned the wrath of the people of Liquidia. Each lord knew that the only way for them to triumph was to do so by eliminating all threats to their rule. Most feared the conspiracy of the Shinmafigumi, whom were plotting a Liquidian unification. Others worried about the missionaries that threatened to subjugate their people to a foreign doctrine. Still more were concerned about other threats, as well as the very threat that their own subjects were to their rule. Several own families had already collapsed, brought down by their own greed and carelessness. Others had erased painful memories to form alliances of opportunity. But nobody could say for sure what everyone's true goals were in these alliances... Then there were those that had been defeated but survived. Without troops, territory, nor vote, what would they do to reclaim what had been lost? Meanwhile, across the sea, a fleet of black ships set sail...
Against all these perceived threats, some nations felt the need to bind themselves more strongly to each other. Who knows what might happen?
Introduction: New mechanic-Permanent Alliance.
You may make one permanent alliance with one nation of your choice. Both nations must PM me for the alliance to take effect. This alliance cannot be broken without the consent of both parties. If a nation is already in a permanent alliance and attempts to make another one, the alliance will be ignored as being non-existent, but neither party will be informed of this. So you can very easily pretend to have alliances with people in order to backstab them later.
Permanent alliances do not give you the ability to stack hits but they do give you the ability to "attack/send aid" through your permanent ally, as long as I receive your ally's consent that they do so. If you attempt to do so unilaterally I will ignore it and act as if you had submitted no action that night. However, you are completely forbidden from attacking each other until you both ask me to rescind the permanent alliance.
You are able to permanently ally a person already in a faction of some kind. However, doing so does not prevent them from using actions on you, including attacking/converting, etc.
If a nation is defeated the nation that shared an alliance with them is no longer bound by the permanent alliance.
If a nation with the navy ability is allied, you may not attack anywhere on the map that borders water. Instead, you must have them attack a territory and capture it in order to use the permanent alliance ability.
Once again, you do not share actions, and your hits will not count as stacking. If you both attack the same province it will be neutral as if two unaffiliated ones attacked it.
Also, night actions, please.
Also, per someone's request, I'm making an activity requirement of at least one post per day/night cycle.
If you think the game is getting complicated, don't worry, Occam's Razor will be here soon.

I AM NOT IN THE GAME but wants to make a comment.
DAMN Caller, introducing permanent alliance in the game that encourages lying and backstabbing. This will create serious nerd rages for those who are back-stabbed.
This game is starting to look a lot like Koei ROTK games. The next mechanic you should introduce is natural disaster. That would really screw up things.
|
okay, so, if i am interpreting this thing right,
i, as 20, could say to 1 that i want to ally with him. then, at night, i want to use my attack to attack 2. if 1 consents, MY attack (as 20) now hits 2. 1 can then go ahead to defend on his own or attack southward.
if my attack on 2 works, then 2 turns MY color (not 1s).
the point of this thing is to allow people on the edge of the map to gain positions on the other side, that is the only point to this mechanic. since you still cant stack hits, all this does is allow you to attack across the map and prohibit one entity from ever attacking you if you dont want them to.
