I think it took them some time to adjust to the Chinese/Taiwan style which is aggressive early game follow by snowball. Both Fanatic and Gambit picked much better laning and mid game comps and just punished the Chinese and Taiwan teams for turret diving.
WE, IG and TPA have pretty poor late games, so if you can hang on into the mid game, they will make mistake you can punish.
And honestly, it was more of a overreaction yesterday since the EU teams only lost 2 Bo1s vs the Chinese and Taiwanese teams. But I guess there is so little international play that people made a huge deal on the strength of the scenes.
Or WE and iG just blow and aren't really representative of the top level of play in LPL anymore.
So you are an apologist too ? :|
If you go by the rankings, China sent Dignitas/EG or Alliance/SHC to LCS.
And EU sent freaking Millenium, Fnatic and Gambit. The first 2 being in the bottom 4 of the LCS. The problem is that you all try to draw conclusions on the strength of each scene when it doesn't make sense because there is NO clear dominance of one scene contrary to what we can see in SC2.
Ur are delusional if u dont think top 3 korea is stronger then tsm/c9 and Gambit/fnatic/Sk.

The 6 in EU are all within like 2 games of each other, they take games off each other regularly, whereas in other scenes there are clear teams that are miles ahead of others. IG is bottom-barrel and legitimately one of the worst teams in China.
And there is clear dominance of one scene. It's called Korea.
Feels like C9 played that better for most of the game tbh, they had way better map control for most of the game. Problem was xpeke and rekkles both got the cleanup kills and became basically unkillable.

Wrong. Korea, just like SC2 lol.
Nope in sc2 it is like 100 players being really good. In LoL maybe 4 teams.

Well.. when you're gifted a 1v1 first blood it's hard to look bad.
He outplayed Hai and killed him in a straight 1v1 how come it's a gift lol.. the bias is strong with this one. Pretty sure if it had been Hai killing Peke 1v1 we'd have endured 10 posts of yours praising Hai lol
Did you see the kill on Hai? There was literally 0 response from Hai, xpeke lived with still half his health. Even deman was like "uhhhhhhhh wut, "

Well, Fnatic and Mil aren't top LCS either, so not sure what you point is.
The point is that iG and WE aren't representative of China's skill, so people shouldn't judge the chinese meta/chinese skill level off the games this weekend.
I dont think anyone is lol.Fnatic right now are playing better than they do in lcs but what if the teams that beat them in lcs played better here as well? Those games don't really do anything to compare the scenes overall just the teams between each other.
I think it all started with yangos response to the genralisation

What? Of course.
The skill of a region is judged by the best teams in the region. NA and EU sent teams representative of their best (C9, Gambit), CN and KR didn't.
The shittiest team in region A beating the best team in region B means something because all the other teams in region A are better. The shittiest team in region A losing to the best team in region B doesn't because it doesn't tell you how the better teams would match up against region B.

rekkles got carried imo he took far too many barrels as is necessary with vayne, he got a few cleanup kills, unimpressive he also fell behind in farm and then nearly threw the game by freezing/splitpushing while c9 was mounting counterattacks around the map

What if the best team just has an off day and plays like shit and loses to other team who plays really well? Why would a bo1 matter that much?Anything can happen in a bo1.
