I think it took them some time to adjust to the Chinese/Taiwan style which is aggressive early game follow by snowball. Both Fanatic and Gambit picked much better laning and mid game comps and just punished the Chinese and Taiwan teams for turret diving.

WE, IG and TPA have pretty poor late games, so if you can hang on into the mid game, they will make mistake you can punish.

And honestly, it was more of a overreaction yesterday since the EU teams only lost 2 Bo1s vs the Chinese and Taiwanese teams. But I guess there is so little international play that people made a huge deal on the strength of the scenes.

Or WE and iG just blow and aren't really representative of the top level of play in LPL anymore.

Yellowstar's Zyra feels underwhelming. Often out of position and his build just screams of fear to be one-shot by gragas.

Btw what do you play Zyra runes/masteries/build? Whenever I play her I do well early and then at some point I just die tons of times.

+ Show Spoiler +

That is kinda in the nature of Zyra, as she is really squishy and every missposition simply is her death. I usually play 0/15/15 with 2 hp quints, 1 gold quint (which i'm not totally happy with), hyprid pen reds, armor yellow, mr blues. Then there are two distinct paths in terms of build: either you go for damage with liandry's, banner of command/athenes, talisman, rylais, maybe zhonyas; Or you go for more utility with Mikaels (if needed) and Locket and an earlier Talisman.

Which build you go for depends whether your team need the damage. In this game with Renekton going for Hydra and not full tank, Panth going some damage and Vayne you rather go for utility. The Spectre's cowl is just so strange, because it has no use other than help against the gragas burst. You don't want to spend you gold into such an item idealy.

Thanks. I guess I really need to be more careful as support and finally buy some hp quints.

Well.. when you're gifted a 1v1 first blood it's hard to look bad.

Oh come on. He played just really well, no matter some gold more or less.

Good game from both games, pretty entertaining series. 50/50 probabl. Game could have been totally different if C9 had gotten those early kills.

If you go by the rankings, China sent Dignitas/EG or Alliance/SHC to LCS.
