Thanks to Reddit sleuths, everyone can try the LotV test maps by following instructions here.

Note: This is not a beta key, it is simply access to Vs. AI and a Unit Tester. I have no idea how cool with this Blizzard is or is not, use at your own risk.

I like the adept's design aesthetically apart from the shield. It seems kind of... redundant?

Comparing the sick new shit P and Z get to the Cyclone which tbh looks very early game/niche oriented.......
Shredder was a bad idea, but it's not that different from the Disruptor (which is sort of like a Dark Plasa Ball btw :D:D), haha

The new Oracle is so sick.
Still think there's a large amount of units that needs rework, even the new ones. But that is not something that can be done within this timeframe at all.
SC2 Archon needs "Terrible, terrible damage" as one of it's quotes.

I kind of liked the worker count at 6 (increased from 4 in BW, after all), because it allowed for player and map introductions, building up hype, and more super-early strategies (proxy rax/ gates, 8 pool). Starting with 12 workers means that there won't nearly be as much risk in "sacrificing" economy. I liked those rare calculated risks; this will just reward greed I think.

Game speed changing to real time also means all game values that are related to time also must change. Eg. When we say a cooldown of an ability is 5 seconds, we want that to mean 5 seconds.

This means all attack speed values, movement speed values, cooldown times, research times, upgrade times, and unit build times will all need to be re-memorized


Does this mean they basically slow the game down a bit? Right now these "5 seconds" are in fact less than 5 real time seconds. To me this paragraph reads like they keep all the basic stats, but make it real time.
Which would lead to a slower game, no?

As for the little movie, I think the teleport ability needs some toning down. I am afraid that it'll be far too Blink stalker like, both being teleporting units. Why not just a solid non-gimmick unit

Well BW workes minned 8 minerals instead of 4 sooo, not so much

I'm not really positive on the availability for the beta access for everyone.

Adept is kind of stalker-ish in the early game without the need of upgrading blink. Protoss seems to get a lot of addition into this one, also zerg has a lot of new ability also new units and various unit tweaks. Terran on the other hand, i don't really look forward too much about anything new that terran can do other than cyclone since other changes are quite lacking.

Looking forward how this will turn out though, i hope the game gets better with this expansion since it's supposed to be the last one.
