Like, really, at this point Blizzard thinks what separates SC2 from Moba popularity is the slow early game? Not the lack of diversity/strategy/buildpaths/options? Brood War was LOVED for over a decade, and it wasnt because it was a faster paced game..if anything you could argue it was a slower paced game... but thats what made it a more active game IMO. Because the beginning is so slower paced you saw good players trying to use the early game, when they had the spare APM/time... to get something done. Where they could choose to be safe and greedy, or aggressive and hoping to impact enough that their aggro paid off? Meh... i feel like the worker change is Blizzard openly acknowledging they dont know how to design this game. That being said... i still am going to play LotV as it seems like Zerg is getting a lot of options with roaches being upgradable. Protoss is getting options with the Adept unit seeming decent enough to not force a colossus every game..hopefully. or at least have a standing army early that is able to leave the base without Colossus overlords for protection. Dont really have an opinion on terran..as ive given up on the race that has those ridiculous mines that are the epitome of not fun. | ||

There is a setup time required for the mine, and afaik it can be destroyed with detection or preemptively detonated like a Window Mine. It might also friendly fire if friendly units are in the area when an enemy detonates it. Unless I'm mistaken about some of this. | ||
