Thanks to Reddit sleuths, everyone can try the LotV test maps by following instructions here.

Note: This is not a beta key, it is simply access to Vs. AI and a Unit Tester. I have no idea how cool with this Blizzard is or is not, use at your own risk.

I don't like the adept at all. To me it looks like the unit is only in the game to have a counter for the cyclone (early "blink" to have a chance of catching it)

Imo Terran needs a viable lategame unit for a bio composition. Battlecruisers require a full sky transition, Thors are anti-muta and buffer against banelings, and Ghosts are countered by the units they counter. So basically a unit that allows a bio-Terran to feel more comfortable in the lategame.

Regarding the nydus worm, Terrans and Protosses can just wall them in if they are in-base, then the units wont come out <.<

And it would still fail at that I think, because I believe Blizzard said they didn't want a manual blink whenever you want to move the adept, but instead you were forced to wait X amount of time (like a countdown until the blink, where you couldn't speed up the process).

It'd do fine. The cyclone has a cooldown on the lockdown, so if it locks onto the adept, do the phase teleport (rather, do it before).

Agreed. A lot of units and their attacks in SC2 don't feel powerful T_T

Also: It does look like it 2 shots an SCV, which gives us some idea of how strong it is in terms of damage.

I don't think the adept's attack animation is done yet. In the video there's no backswing at all, which looks very stiff and amateurish. Blizzard's artists are talented enough that it's certainly still a work in progress.

Kind of wish it had a cannon instead of the psionic blast, maybe in place of the shield.

I know, but i think the ability is still good enough to actually come close to the cyclone.
