LotV closed beta announced to start on March 31 - Page 52

Thanks to Reddit sleuths, everyone can try the LotV test maps by following instructions here. Note: This is not a beta key, it is simply access to Vs. AI and a Unit Tester. I have no idea how cool with this Blizzard is or is not, use at your own risk.

Versus AI maps for all three races for LotV: http://www.mediafire.com/download/2xzsfrpqg6fxk2k/SC2 LotV Maps.zip Includes a README with instructions on how to install the client and how to play. I'm stucked at initializing stage forever and can't resolve this problem Just ignore the app. If your client is 6.26 GB, it did its job. It's just bad at realizing how complete game clients are.

Just ignore the app. If your client is 6.26 GB, it did its job. It's just bad at realizing how complete game clients are. The problem is that it stays in packed/hashed version (with all the data.001 - data.006 each 1gb size and such files) So basically I have downloaded unpacked/hashed client, including no folders like Mods, Support, Versions, etc

That's a great nice little addition ![]() No they wont, these portraits for new units are clarly placeholders, because they portraying unit itself instead of special model (without body/hands) that usually done for portraits.

It is a bit odd that it didn't create the other 3 folders (there is no Mods folder now, though). My default trick for fixing bad Battle.net App handling is to rename the folder to something like "SC2LotV old" and then launch a reinstall of the beta. After it starts, copy the SC2Data folder from your renamed folder over the new folder (while the app is not running, of course). It will generally cause the app to go "WTF where did that data come from?" and do a proper re-evaluation of what it should be doing.

Not works, it re-goes through half of red bar with Initializing to the point where it stops again and forever. Tried to check it inside of Process Explorer, Agent.exe and Battle.net.exe ticking with 3-4 bytes but nothing happens, it still stays at half of red bar saying "Initializing". So, would be good if someone upload whole client so I (and maybe others with same problem) can download it and "attach" to Battle.net launcher by downloading from other more stable source
