Thanks to Reddit sleuths, everyone can try the LotV test maps by following instructions here.

Note: This is not a beta key, it is simply access to Vs. AI and a Unit Tester. I have no idea how cool with this Blizzard is or is not, use at your own risk.

The idea behind barrier seems to be making immortals more analogous to dragoons and not a super niche unit that only exists to hard counter armored, which is good

ah ok, that's not that strong than. Sorry, thought it was 200. 100 sounds more reasonable, given that against many units hardened shields didn't trigger at all of only in rather low amounts (like against +3hydras hardened shields only absorbed 50damage overall, while barrier already absorbs 36damage if only one single +0 hydralisk is attacking it for those 3seconds)

Marauders really do shoot two rockets now, so armor works twice against them now. Ultras will really be better now with that marauder nerf and their armor buff.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

out of curiosity, blizzard has not announced this change yet, right? The OP doesn't mention it either. So, so far we don't know if this is going to be a thing, right? It sounds pretty bad to be honest...

Messing around with Disruptors on the LotV Unit tester map.

Activated Disruptors can walk across Force Fields.

I think it was announced to be a possible change at some point during development. The thing is that this just makes bio play weaker, and it already gets exponentially worse in the late game. Maybe it'll be possible to transition out of bio at LotV, but at this rate, it looks kinda sad .

It was never written down, but it was already like this in the playable version at BlizzCon.

That makes the mines so much worse on the pro level though. Protosses already blink away the stalkers before they get hit, Life already uses lings to cause friendly fire etc.

It buffs the immortal against units like marines and makes it worse against something like the roach. I think it's to make the immortal less hardcountery to mech, but the implications for PvZ remain to be seen.
