Yea I agree on that as well. But thats only a number. Ez way to tweak if it turns out to be of no use.
LotV closed beta announced to start on March 31 - Page 56

Thanks to Reddit sleuths, everyone can try the LotV test maps by following instructions here. Note: This is not a beta key, it is simply access to Vs. AI and a Unit Tester. I have no idea how cool with this Blizzard is or is not, use at your own risk.

In the end DK will finetune the balance until winrates are 50/50 and you will be stuck complaining that you have no viable options vs the other races.

Apart from the ravager the answer to your question is "Yes, those things are usually not enough.". Ravagers are another unit that will help out, though, especially in the earlier stages of the game. Hydra/Corruptor/Infestor does indead suck vs mass raven/viking/tanks. Zerg anti air is extremely lacking, that's why we see mass spores/sh turtle and vipers abducting one unit at a time for hours. Didn't think of the Ravager but I'm not sure how good it is, but I will test right now how it goes vs mech/air. Edit: Does not work at all imo. If the Terran has tanks you are just suiciding your Ravagers, the range on their ability is too low. And honestly even without tanks, if your air units get hit by the Ravager projectile it's your own fault and the zerg has to be extremely skilled to make that work. You have enough time to dodge. One more thing, I don't give a single fuck about balance, I just want good game design with options for every race vs every style that don't result in 3 hour long games.

I mean that's good, it's hive tech anti air and can always be nerfed if balance needs it. But design wise it's good that zerg can now do something vs mass raven/sky toss without throwing tons of corruptors in a meatgrinder and you can still counter micro as a terran by moving the affected unit away. It won't even die from the 90 damage. Vipers can also still get one shoted by vikings/tempests before they get in ranage. Overall everything new looks OP right now, but that's good imo.

It's neat. but that's my point it should be that is for the general population it should be hard and something you have to work on a lot. same goes for splitting lings off so your whole army doesn't die. you give it that line similar to Seekers it takes away that skill of trying to micro the right units but whatever everyone needs to be masters with bad micro.

Both of that things are perfectly fine as a concept, but simply horribly implemented and poorly "balanced" in terms of design. They aren't guilty for that stubborn design pushed into the game.

Viper ability:Good vs Phenix and should make muta/corrupter/viper very strong but i don't think its good vs other protoss air units from what i tested. Can be used on collosi but not worth so don't use. Oracle Ward seems to be very strong There ways to use: 1. Just place on army automatically stasis army 2 Place and let him run over. 3. Unauto cast the ability and use like burrowed banes. Wards need detection to be seen. Double stargate phenix with 1 oracle will be a strong tactic since you can remove from play a portion of the hydras as you lift the rest. Adept looks very strong early game but is horrible mid/late game due to it being very weak vs roaches/stim bio.Great early game vs marines/lings. Will allow for a strong sangate timing off 2 bases on zerg's 3rd where you will have mothership core and 8 adepts. Time Warp now has a 5 second delay after casted and then will increase in size allowing it to be dodge-able before the ability takes effect. I don't know what to think of this change but i guess its fine till we see from real games. Tempest now are alot easier to micro due to faster speed and seem pretty much the same new ability seems kinda useless. Swarm Host: makes mech alot weaker Have the ability to manually drop locust which will allow you to drop locust from being hard-countered by heavy viking count in the mid/late game. This allows for micro potential. Ravager still seems bad vs air units unless fungal is with it but is good vs mech units and destroying protoss walls. Atm medivac tank has a bug that happens sometimes but also needs cool-down from drop and lift cause you can spam it way to easily with no dmg on tanks like you do with marauders. Carriers are very strong now and pretty much are like the old host but cost a little bit of minerals. Lurkers are very good. Disrupter still broken does 145 dmg which is same amount of health as a roach. Prism is good we will see if its to good as games are played.
