speaking of friends, I played some games with my bronze friends last night.
Hydra rush Skarner, can't think of an item that would shore up his weaknesses so clearly, how did I not think of this?

I feel like the only time it is acceptable to drop a GG EZ, is after a 50 minutes back and forth win by the skin of your teeth. Especially if you fed and got carried.

Thorin did a video once on toxicity in EU. He tried to explain how culturally people in the EU are just more aggressive towards each other. I tend to agree, for instance, New England and the North East are known for being rather cold and mean. I've been thinking about how to describe or explain how or why this is. It's a way we interact with each other in order to foster friendships. Have you ever heard the term, "You never want to be the smartest person in the room." The reason we insult and make fun of each other has this philosophy in mind. You never want to be around people who are beneath you. So we insult each other in order to show that we aren't subservient and are worthy of your time and respect.

Can confirm, New England are cold and unfeeling towards each other. Soniv is a shitter.
Unrelated, but am I the only one who actually likes Blitz's new W? It went from a brainless spam W skill to a skill to use smartly at opportune times for increased effectiveness (due to higher ms). Basically I enjoy being able to play smarter than those who didn't/still don't know how to use W effectively.

Which is, funnily enough, exactly how his W used to work (like, when he was released/season 1 days). For once Riot backpedaled on their misguided "antifun" patching.

Even if they improve their design on mistake I still enjoy benefiting from the merits of their mistakes.

Yeah I think it's a good change, and I hope Riot is more open to 180ing on their really bad changes and being more receptive of, you know, actual defined strengths and weaknesses, both between different champs and within skills.

Ryze is the real test case for this (although we have another one where they didn't, Olaf who got wrecked, reworked horribly, and remains untouched). The current Ryze design is even more anti-Riot than the old one because he has crappy waveclear, no mobility, and very poor utility. He's basically a cross between Maokai and Cassiopeia, but with less waveclear, less lane presence, and less utility than either. He has to have sick damage and tankiness to be a good pick, basically Cassio damage + Maokai tankiness, which I doubt Riot will ever allow.

he used to be point and click which is toxic for gameplay, so they do what they normally do and gut the champion, forever sealing him with elise, kassadin, zilean, azir and the rest of the trash bin

Kassadin is still pretty good, Azir got buffed back a bit and is once again a top competitive pick.

Even Elise isn't trashtier, she's pretty serviceable, just sux lategame and it can't be fixed unless you overbuff her again.
Anyway, just witnessed guy who intentionally trolled because of testing new system. #struggle

Dexter confirmed top tier again.

Olaf not top-tier competitive pick, obviously the rework was a complete failure.
Kassadin sucks.
Azir sucks.
36% MR shred is poor utility.
I'm gonna go lay down; this thread is giving me cancer.
Real talk about Ryze; this rework lives or dies based on how much damage Q does lategame and right now it's shit and he's basically a support even with 15k gold. More damage on Q = More machine gun = More damage from shred = less damage he needs to build to approach old Ryze levels of faceroll. He'll never blowup squishies unless they're out of nowhere with no frontline, which is exactly as it should be.

Olaf's rework sucks because his ult removes defenses at the time you most need it in the majority of situations. Its like if Ashe's new Q or Kog's W slowed you when you activated it, Hecarim's E disabled his passive, or if Galio lost a bunch of armor when he ults.
I agree that Ryze is going to need more damage on his Q lategame, my only point is that I don't think they are going to be willing to give him enough long term, because its got to be higher than old Ryze levels of lategame power, because his laning going to be worse.
