Two camps, one is objectively correct

(For competitive play; clearly if people of vastly differing skills are competing, you can go late game scaling runes and make an argument for it, but you're still wrong, because runes matter LESS in the only scenario where it is beneficial to forgo early game power in favor of minimal late game power.)


Runes and masteries are early game stat buffers. By the time you hit 30 minutes into the game, those 4 mastery points represent less than 1% of your total in game power.

found your problem. you know damn well vi is buggy as hell, quit playing it if you're not going to fucking accept the risk her shit's gunna bug out on you.

Pretty much this^^^ vi can be a great niche pick and can carry super hard with her ganking power but there is the constant threat of all her odd q and ult bugs making things go really poorly. And picking her in ranked 5's is pretty awful she was my most played solo q champ this season and I only logged 1 ranked 5's on her.

i am so so so so happy that the warwick bug is finally fixed. I main warwick and have played over 200 games, and i can definitely say that the warwick bug has costed me at least 10% of my games where in early game the enemy escaped when I just needed 1 Q for the kill and snowball my lane

While I can't say I've played tons and tons of Vi games, in the decent amount I have played I have still never encountered the Q bug.

I've played Vi the most this season by far in terms of ranked games (about 50 games) and probably another 10-20 in normals, and a good 10-25% of them have had a bug of some sort occur (usually it's Q bug, sometimes it's being CC'ed/knocked back mid-ult and having awkward animations occur).

If it only happened once every 10 or 20 games I wouldn't care. But it happens with just enough frequency that it can be game changing. One notable experience that stands out is me ulting a Syndra (to get into their back line and pop Randuins + cause general havoc) and she Q-E combos me back almost to where I started the ult. She goes up and down and takes the damage but I'm still in the front line of my team instead of back in their back line, and the ensuing fight goes poorly because no one else could get to/through the enemy team's front line (I had to blow Q + flash just to get back to where I was going to, and by then I'd been chunked).

check out selenium, it can do automated mouse clicks and stuff, not sure what languages you work with but they even have an R package i was planning on using.

to start i'm just gonna grab like maybe the top 1-2k summoners from lolking and then i think i can go through their match histories using the api itself and do like some leaderboard type stuff like gold per min, amount of dragons/buffs/wards per game, etc.

i'd probably have to use the selenium package if you have to click a "calculate mmr" button, but me not getting started on it is much more of a laziness than a difficulty issue.

edit: although using chrome's inspect element on op.gg's buttons is reminding me just how little i know about css and javascript

oddone stream is so hilarious right now, he plays his fresh smurf (gold3) and just made it to promos - after throwing a few games here and there...

funny thing tho, he appears to really struggle sometimes. not "lose the game" struggling, but has to work REALLY hard to get the win

he also is so trolly funny in chat, loving it, one of his better streams lately
