I don't play Nasus really but I have seen enough of Sirhcez's stream to know he survives basically every matchup by using teleport to back early for defensive items and just stacking the Q. Its an extreme example but just yesterday he got 600 stacks by 20 minutes and he often has 400+ against even the toughest matchups. At 300+ that early in the game wither becomes a death sentence especially with ganks and the lane rolls from there. I understand your frustration in not wanting to Q 100-200 CS every game before going deep though lol.

With so little time to practice with Shen, I think it unlikely, especially this late in the season when games mean so much.

in any case trynd is a lot stronger in early lane than nasus is. I just said in terms of 1v1ing later in the game nasus beats pretty much every melee with reasonable gold similarity.
if trynd has like full items with LW maybe its different but even then with thornmail im not sure.

As I see it, I think Shen will get picked in a "protect the Koggles" team comp, and we'd just need to see Gragas (and maybe Mundo or Trist) get banned.

I think I said a "protect the Koggles" plan, not "have our only lategame DPS be the Koggles" plan.

I think Shen actually beats a lot of weaker lanes early on, and at the 5-6 item stage he'll beat most champs as well. It's just the midgame timing where he doesn't have the items to push and his %hp healing from Q isn't insane yet where he'll get a bit bullied.

Also mecha or glacial malphite?

Well back in season 3, the top meta basically boiled down to Jax, Renekton, or Shen, with the occasional pick of Riven, Jayce, or Ryze, as I don't think Shyvana's rework had been allowed in time for the Worlds stage.

What's happening so far in season 4 top lane? Shyvana, Renekton, Ryze, Jax, Lulu, and now Gragas. Shen would probably be picked against two, maybe three of those 6, and the remaining 3 (Lulu, Gragas, Ryze) can be either banned or flex picked into mid/support.

I'm pretty sure Thoorin would suck his own dick if it was possible so when he said that the Flame interview was some of his best works I took it with a grain of salt, but it's really really good, Flame fan for life starting today.
