Rengar's early kill potential is pretty nuts and lets him snowball a lot easier than champions like Fizz or Akali and could probably use some tuning (along with the obvious issues of Ferocity) but I'd say that if your friend was on Fizz or Akali with 2 early kills like that he probably would have wrecked people in fights like just as well as Rengar could. Any assassin who snowballs real hard can do these things. Rengar is a little different though because of how his ult works. Fizz, Akali, Leblanc, Talon etc part of their damage is tied to their ult. If they're so fed they can instagib somebody without using their ult then they work similar to Rengar yes, but if they need their ult to get a kill it's different. They instagib somebody 1v1, but then when your team forces a 5v4 for an objective afterwards, they aren't as scary without their ult. Rengar's ult does not increase his damage, all it does is give him guaranteed engage on an isolated target. It's not of much use in a 5v5 at all aside from just giving vision. So not only does he have better engage on the isolated target since his ult lets him bypass wards and see where everybody is, after he ganks somebody he still has 100% of his teamfight potential to pressure an objective afterwards. Basically what this means is he doesn't have to be as far ahead as other assassins to do the same sort of shit.

Also his ult does give him damage.....How is stacking ferocity for free not giving him damage?

Oh okay, incidentally I had a Silver 5 Rengar in a game on my smurf who was against a plat and he got a double on their jungle/top when they dove him, he had this strange quadruple doran into tiamat+LW I think.

Out of curiosity, does everyone feel the same for TF or Noc?

The problem with Rengar may have to do with his unlimited gapclosing in brush, his burst, and his instant E (compared to Noc who needs time for his Unspeakable Horror)
