Why do you compare it to the defense tree regen mastery when literally no one gets that one either? It's like saying you're smarter than the stupidest kid in your class it hardly goes a long way to proving your point.
First of all, if you're talking strictly about the early laning phase, Recovery is often the strongest tier 1 defensive mastery (not always, depends on champion/lane)
But since I know you wont believe that, just remember that it's also more than 1 point in the mana regen mastery which everybody takes.

You take the mana regen mastery cause there's nothing else in utility. There are often (not always, but often) much better points to take in the offensive tree.
You take the regen mastery in defense if there's nothing else for you to take, doesn't mean it's necessarily good. I take it all the time cause I know I won't be building enough resists for the bonus resists mastery to be worth it, doesn't mean the mastery is like, good.

In the end masteries hardly matter anyways so whatever. If you think Feast or an extra health potion is gonna win you a lane go for it lol.

The simple fact that a certain mastery is best in slot because everything else blows automatically makes it a good mastery.

But the real questions is, how is the relative overtuning of Feast to other masteries compared to the power of Heal to other summoners though?

Heal is 15 Teemos stronger than Feast.

It is a really good mastery, i dont know why anyone would argue its not lolol. You go all in and come close to dying with like 50-60 health, minions may or may not kill you, but even getting 30 hp worth off of a wave before you go all in is huge.
really dont know how anyone can argue its a bad mastery. l0l

And yet for some reason, LOTS of people don't take it.
They're starting to learn though. So sad.
Next they'll start taking Expose Weakness and Strength of Spirit all the time and I'll QQ.

Hidden mastery interactions:
Expose Weakness works on your own damage Frozen Heart counts towards Oppression (and also disables Garen passive, incidentally) Strength of Spirit is more HP regen than Recovery 90% of the time Alchemist works on Culinary Master
Any others?

Also, Phasewalker has consistently been the single most impactful rank 1 mastery point for me. I am baffled why people don't take it more.

Mana regen pretty good. 3 mp5 may not be much, but that's easily 1-2 more Glitterlances for me before my first back, and these do a lot.

Did the servers just go down? x_x;;
Was in game then 1 min into the game I get the attempting to connect thing forever.

Strength of Spirit is more HP regen than Recovery 100% of the time.
Spell/Blade Weaving on specific champions is coded so you get 2 procs from one attack (Lux for example)
That might be it. Some aren't "hidden" but are just ridiculously good like Scavenger and Reinforced Armor.

I'm not a fan of Phasewalker. I liked it in season 3 but in season 4 I prefer the movespeed masteries.
1 point in movespeed makes it take about 1 second less to get from the fountain to an outer tower, so in terms of getting you back to lane faster they're equivalent.
But the movespeed also helps you at every other part of the game too.

just had a nice game where our khazix lost superhard top and fed enemy jax like 6/0 but we make a nice comeback and just as we smash down the first inhib, EUW starts lagging and everyone but our jungler reconnects LOL. They abuse it and rush Baron and base. GG at least loss prevented but it still sucks to not get points for a won game.

Problem is there aren't really people who can replace him lol.
