And by getting lizard you eat the vast majority of your true damage while reseting the dot. Wriggles/Flare damage will always be full and instant, not to mention finishing a lot faster.

You heal (for half), then you remove the healing debuff.

Every time I started using W the enemy just backed away and times that I tried to Bellyslam in I would almost always hit a minion and stop me.

Flat hp sucks really bad since everyone that needs the early stats lose ehp since they always have sustain.
Flat armour didn't get worse everything else got a little better. Basically 2-4 roles should still use flat armour is still the best. Some can go scaling things but its still the best rune for early game if you use it.

flat armor actually got buffed by half an armor I think. Should still be the best rune for almost everyone.
