I don't know. Yasuo, Lucian, Zac, Thresh, Vi, Zed, Elise, Kha'zix, rengar, diana, zyra, jayce and darius might want to have a word about that.

All of those have ranged from top tier pick to blatantly broken on release

Lucian was definitely not top tier on release. He got buffed twice.

Yea, if you looked at a statistical chart, freshly released champs would rarely land in the bottom half of power levels, and often in the upper quintile.

Lucian is out of the list imo, he was considered pretty weak when he came up, some considered it the weakest adc:-))

Yeah, I suppose so now that I think about it. Advantages singed would have would be that his slow is 75% compared to volis 50% (at maxed ranks) and also isn't something he needs to be in range for (1000 cast range). But yeah I kinda of forgot about voli.

Singed engage is too slow, easy to avoid for a duo. Damage takes too long for a bot lane to be effective, usually u want burst there or constant poke/harass to be effective. What will normally happen if you manage to engage at all is that the enemy support will deal the damage faster to your adc ,he'll die and they'll walk away leaving singed running around in a circle)

That's my bad then, I don't think I played very much around when Lucian was released. I think the point still stands though.

So, couple people were wondering what damage type Spellthief's things were, just tested it.

It's the damage type of whatever the attack was. It doesn't display its own damage number, it adds to the attacks.

Singed's advantage is that he's able to be much more mobile throughout the fight and never needs to stop to attack anyone, he also is much better at retreating where Voli is worthless.

Vi's lategame damage item is BC because it helps her team and provides some welcome CDR and tankiness on top of it.
If you find yourself snowballing and want to go full-on damage, though, Triforce is stronger because at this point you'll be in the midgame where Vi's damage is frontloaded and burst-oriented. It only switches to dps later on, when stats from items and levels (and the reduced level disparity, eg. when snowballing early you can somewhat easily find yourself 3 levels above the enemy botlane, 13 -> 10 is way bigger than 17 -> 16) make it less likely for her to deal more than half a squishy's health in initial burst damage.

For the same reason the armour threshold where LW outperforms BC in spite of the 10 flat ArPen is probably rather low too. It's just that the difference isn't necesarily worth losing the ability to increase the rest of your team's damage output anymore at this point.

IMO Triforce on Vi just doesn't seem that ideal to me. She isn't particularly great with proccing sheen, she doesn't need the AP or mana. Attack speed and crit are okay on her but there are better stats. I feel if you get really snowballed early just go SotEL into Brutalizer, CDR and AD is what she really needs to carry.

Vi doesn't proc sheen? What?? She's got a double gap closer and a double auto reset, all of which proc sheen. Her full damage combo is Q/R -> auto -> E reset auto -> Q/R -> auto -> E reset auto. What more can you ask for?

BC/Triforce are both good items are her, but Triforce is absolutely the way to go if you get fed early. With Elder Lizard and Triforce she will 100-0 a squishy for a large part of the game, and Triforce means her sustained damage is quite high as well in smaller skirmishes. It absolutely SUCKS playing against a fed Triforce Vi since you know she'll use a 1500 range gap closer while ignoring cc to immediately kill you.

Your guide to fantasy LCS
Step 1: Put cop on your team
Step 2: He never dies so you win
G_G
If you're going for the cool kids fantasy league of trying to get the worst score possible I highly suggest this set up:
Top: Cruzer
Jungle: Nintendude
Mid: Moopz
ADC: Tabzz
Support: Nyph
Anti-team;
Dyrus/Meteos/Bjergsen

Thing with Triforce is that it's awfully expensive, especially coming from the jungle, so most of the time when you're fed enough to buy it it doesn't matter what you build anymore because of the lead it implies.
If you do get it though your defensive itemisation will be quite delayed, hence if you miss the timing where you're able to wreck anyway 1v1 (or even more) and ride your level advantage to survive initiating fights as a glass cannon, you may end upin a rough spot (I've seen a Vi get a small/moderate lead, get triforce, wreck us when she gets it but the team pulled it together, stalled a bit while trying to get outer towers to close the gap, and once we had the levels/items to not get assasinated by Vi her excess confidence bit her in the ass).

It's true that in your typical game you'll most likely go for Elder Lizard -> Brutaliser then tanky if you're snowballing and planning on building damage, just because of the cost-effectiveness and smooth build paths, which means you'll end up completing your BC at some point down the line when you're tanky enough.
The low cost also means that you can easily go for it even when you're not huge, as long as you've got some kills/assists/early drake/etc. under your belt early on.

The problem is xmithie tends to do mediocre and not really die, tabzz on the other hand uncontrollably feeds in most alliance matches which makes him more valuable. On the other hand with zoonie/sheep it is possible that they will find a way to die more than tabzz/nyph I'll have to wait until this week.
Xpeke/mancloud may be more suitable replacements for moopz but you run the risk of them actually playing well again and getting an absurd score, moopz is just mediocre in SHC wins and gets rekt in SHC losses so he's a safter choice for minimising points

Yes it is a lot of damage if she does it optimally and gets all 4 sheen procs off, but that also requires good timing and waiting for the cool downs on sheen which makes it less bursty. Her sustained ability to use sheen is lacking compared to champs that have Triforce as their core like Jax. Maybe I will do some math on this later, but Triforce is just so expensive and provides such little tankiness/AD and no CDR, I would rather just get a Brutalizer and a Giants Belt + Wardens Mail instead.
