I'm playing Hexakill because it makes it easier to pick Garen than jumping into blinds (although I managed to do it by jungling in the few normals I've played, I don't think the odds of playing 20+ games without having somebody rage at some point are that high), when it was announced I didn't particularly cared about it.

Watching Korean bronze is amazing its full of really mechanically decent players (stutter stepping as Annie) but they suck at the game. Sorta like a CS player playing CoD.

Normal and ranked are entirely seperate mmrs. The only reason it would seem that way is because a player's pay remains the same.

If you drop low enough to activate his passive he basically kills you for free.

So far from my observation(Having lost every game with a ashe in my team): - She has some decent early game poke/damage which makes her a bit of a lane bully, but with the melee supports being as tanky as they are you cant really build up a lead - If you are hooked you are dead - With no escapes she is pretty much insta dead if focused, very hard to keep her alive - Can do some DEVASTATING ganks and teamfight initiations with a good arrow, thats some strong utility - Her laning phase is just crap without a lead the longer it goes - She cant split push, i feel like she needs some support all the time or allies nearby, or very very good ward coverage So basically i feel like you can get a strong mid game going with her if you manage to get some good arrows in. The thing is just that leona dumps on her very hard as well as all the popular bruisers atm. I feel like she is the WORST ad carry in this season. Are there any ashe players on the forum that can give me some insight on her or maybe some hidden potential that i cant see? For now i believe people just pick her because she is "fun" and then continue to feed or somewhat handicap the team. PS: I dont want this to look like a QQ or rage post or anything like that. I am honestly just curious if people really just play ashe for the fun of it or if there is something she can reasonably do. Arrow initiations are nice and all but is it really worth the terrible laning phase and the terrible mobility in the current meta? Feels more like a gimmick to me atm. I know there are people out there who dont want to play FOTM champions all the time, but as for ashe....i just feel like she is too handicapped in the meta.

I only play ranked with a bronze2 friend of mine, we typically ban thresh and we run Ashe/Leona if we can. I think that Ashe's laning is generally weak in and of itself, but is typically more reliant on the 2v2 match-up than most other AD carries, if that makes some degree of sense to you. Ashe/Zyra is a disproportionately strong lane given it's components (even though Zyra has a strong laning phase), for example. I feel that Ashe/Leona is similarly strong if you don't have to worry about Thresh, since Leona can deal with Blitzcrank very well, and I haven't had any issues with Annies although I'm not quite sure why this is. No escapes is a pretty big deal, but I do feel that she has strong tools to not get caught randomly with while roaming (W to check bushes / FoW, E), meaning that it's only really a big problem in teamfights with multiple diving threats. Typically against these kinds of teams I'm found her ult, range, and W to be more useful (often dying but racking up assists) than escaping and dealing no damage like a lot of other AD carries. If AD carries are "useless" because they can't kill the current tanky meta very well, I think Ashe is useful by merit of never really being useless. I do think her midgame and lategame are very strong, however. Maybe it's because at low levels people simply move around poorly, but with Ashe it's super easy to pick off people if you ward frequently. Often a single pick can lead to an objective or an advantageous teamfight, so I value this ability really highly. Lategame, if you get dived by a single person, your ult is long enough to give you more than enough team to kill them (unless there's a huge gold disparity), and unless they have multiple gap closers you can typically reposition to safety after an ult such that your slows are more than powerful enough. You're also throwing out huge range AoE autoattacks every 4 seconds, which I do think are severely underrated, and shiv crits every so often, which I suspect are overrated. As long as you don't get crushed in lane, I think Ashe has the tools to be useful with no gold in roaming midgame, and also the tools to get gold faster than average (E, Shiv is core) to get back into it. tl;dr I think Ashe has a strong mid and lategame, and the tools to make-up for a weak early game, but is very match-up dependent.

But right now AD's are much more about raw damage rather than having kiting and all sorts of things (Ezreal gets a pass because he's Ez though).
