If your team only loses one or two lanes, then the champ can just go into the jungle for 5 minutes, get mad XP and be fine.
I enjoyed playing as a low income support as well where I had to really think about buying stuff, and then went all oAo when I had really good games and had more gold than I knew what to do with. A lost lane usually does't end up with you being lowest level in game unless you're the support.
Remember solos are usually ABOVE the average level. Being a little behind still usually doesn't bring you below the average. You have to have been completely shit on to drop that far down in terms of relative level, and in that case, your team is fucked regardless cuz your lane opponent is probably fed beyond belief and wrecking shit 5v4 even if you're power-farming.
The change has the most impact for the roles that already were most likely to end up in the bottom half of levels in a game--support and jungle.

I played super farm style tho (usually was the highest level in game/team), all ranked5s
yango, your sense of humour is shit
I actually like damage Eve because now there is enough gold in the jungle if you farm enough (and NO there wasnt enough gold before DURR, get back to luxemburg you rich dood)
IDK if I can trust your judgment we just had a pretty godly jungle Taric Neo can confirm

Passive: Yasuo's critical strike chance is doubled.
Seriously, what?
I feel like Riot's balance team has 0 communication with Riot's champion design teams.

So it's not that absurd. It's not like you can get 1 level straight for killing 2 wraith camps or something. Moreover, it's very hard for even a jungler to clear the whole jungle while doing other thing, it's impossible for a support to clear all jungle by herself. No, but it's possible for 2 supports to clear the jungle together as fast as a single jungler while earning the same XP per person, and still being able to make full use of their Relic Shields between clears. I doubt that a team will have 2 people constantly lower level than the whole other 8 people. And if your team has 2 support with lower level, what if the other team also has 2 low level support? The monster camp's level is gonna be brought down. The whole premise is based on how op Relic Shields is right now, and we all know Riot is gonna nerf it very soon.
From games I've been playing the whole day, I don't think it's that op. Of course it's the best item out of 3 new support items (Spellthief doesn't give sustain, Ancient coin too relies on your teammates to last hit), but it's not that op. For example, you get 1 charge every 30sec, so the normal minion you can use is melee minion, and it's worth average 25 gold. So every 30 min, you get 25 gold, so you get like 8.3gp10. Compared to Ancient coin (which gives you 4gp10 if your lane partner has perfect minion kill), or Spellthief (2+4gp10, but risky and not stackable), then Relic Shields is indeed superior. Not to mention your lane partner(adc) get another 3.33gp10.
Junglers, on the other hand, has Golem spirit which gives you effectively 1 gold per 1.5sec which is 6.67gp10. But since he still get bounty from monster camp, jungler will be always richer than support. I've been playing jungle all day and I've seen no support that have more items than me.
On November 22 2013 11:48 Scip wrote: What is the point of counterjungling, you hurt the other jungler, whoop de do he gets 50% exp bonus lol fuck that I'll just go and camp lanes, legit camp, make sure I don't steal any exp from my laners and make it so that enemy laners have to stay away from exp range even when creep camps banked xp+gold camping was shit but 50-100% is just crezy god, I bet camping is even worth it now sometimes. He got 50% bonus from killing camps, means a wraith camp is worth 1.5 camps' xp, not a camp worth 1 level. It also means that if he's lower level, you deny 1 creep camp means you deny 1.5 creepcamp. So if you counterjungle him and still deny him camps, he still has hard time to get lvl and items

This thread lost its shit for like 2 weeks after he has been released
Taric is alright later on in the game but early having no movement speed skills is just too limiting, he can't be very aggresive and his ganks suck because of it too. He scales nicely but if you can make him a support he's probably way better
HAHAHA double crit chance, my ejector seat is ready

I bet the new champ has a secret passive: When he kills master yi he gets a free GA passive, and it stacks for everytime he kills yi.

No I mean. He IS broken. His balance is totally non-durable. He went from a 50%+ Champ at Worlds to 0% Pick/Ban in the Current OGN with only minor changes to the game.

all the old 'supports' are too weak now. only zyra really seems to like having gold. Karma and nunu seems good now that you can afford a chalice reasonably early. nami is decently strong too, but again, chalice.
feels like mana-gated champs will be strong supports. Its a really useful way to spend the extra gold without needing to be rich. brb want to try anivia.

This new champion is confusing the heck out of me. It sounds to me that he can't use his R unless he can cast debuff with his Q.... WHICH requires 3 stacks of Q.

On NACL, TBD just bought a 4 relic start (only mid lane didn't buy it).
Guess lanes are now 2/1/2.

That was only 1 style (and one position) he was played at worlds.

I'd say the ult change was minor, but cutting 40% of the W missle speed is harsh.
Also, lulz Riven killed Yasuo's mentor.

Can I point you to this champion named Tryndamere, who has a passive that, with proper itemization, is 100% GUARANTEED crit chance on EVERY SINGLE AA?
As for Yasuo himself, he strikes me as a Riven-esque character; someone who you are meant to weave your skills in with AA, then if done right, Omnislash the entire team while they're in mid-air, eat massive damage, and if they survive has significantly reduced armor vs. Yasuo afterwards for a few seconds.
Also, reading his lore:
" However, his fate was changed forever when Noxus invaded."
Someone's seen ATLA too much. Hell, the champion's skillset revolves around using wind technique elements. And if confirmed as manaless, this would be the first resourceless champion in a fair while, right? And isn't Yasuo also designed by the same person who made Riven and Trynd?
