I wouldn't mind trying if you don't mind a wood 3 player. 3s is so vastly different that as long as you have good sense of tempo you should do well. aura has been carrying me in 3s and we got Plat after 5-0 placements, so I think if you 4-1 or maybe even 3-2 you should get Gold and unlock praetor Elise | ||

There's like no way you're getting into gold 3-2 unless it gives the absolutely most brutal placements possible. Maybe they changed the algorithm for non solo-q ranked to take into account average soloq elo like people were complaining? Our team was already all gold+ and we faced a gold 3s team as our 2nd match. I guess if its like that then you probably have to 5-0 if you're facing tough opponents. | ||

If you're unranked or something I don't know if you can even hit gold straight out of placements. | ||

You have a 200 damage execute, your carry couldn't stop you from killing a minion if they tried. It's not until much later that it really becomes an issue, and even then you only need to worry about it once or twice a minute. In fact, Emblem is the answer to TheYango's "these items kill roaming" issue. While Philo and Kage's require you to be in lane to be useful, Emblem is unique in that it keeps working when you're not in lane. Just blow your charges before a recall/roam and you have an entire minute to get to whatever lane needs you. Literally, so long as you show up somewhere once a minute you're not wasting it in the slightest. The active on Martyr's Call is also extremely strong. It's not just a shield, but a Zilean Bomb. The damage goes off regardless of whether you use up the shield or not, so you just need to be next to an enemy and boom, 200-300 magic damage in a decent AoE. So again, you're crazy.  | ||

I guess if its like that then you probably have to 5-0 if you're facing tough opponents. yes, they did i've started a half-dozen 3s teams to help people get gold, and one in particular that was started by my friend who is d1 99LP, we went 2-3 and ended up gold I after placements. ofc, every game we were up against diamond players, so bear that in mind too. but as a gold player, playing 3s with another gold and a plat, i've landed 2 teams in low gold with 3-2 as well. it's entirely dependent on your opponents, which appear to be based off your average solo queue elo also keep in mind that this is boosting season, so even if you run into bronze-division accounts, they might be played by diamond players which really, really sucks for your 3s elo | ||
