honestly that martyrs call item is terrible id prefer to buy a giants belt and be done with it if I want hp. (get randuins or sunfire later huehue)
the key to playing a Taric is to beat the shit out of everyone with sheen and then buy awesome items. FTFY Seriously, sheen taric so much fun, chunking the shit out of people. And if you get fed, you're healing every few seconds and doing actually good damage with autos.

4s sounds pretty short for melee champions to be able to walk up to the ward and kill it if they know more or less where it is (for example dragon area/pit) but not exactly where.

It seems like more of a reactionary trinket: you see them drop a ward in lane brush, gain brush control, then pop it and clear.
I don't see it being very good on melee supports since they already are at more of a risk trying to clear wards.
However, the final upgrade is a 10 second Oracle's with a 90 second CD, and Oracle's as an item seems to be gone. So take into account that aside from (very limited) pink wards, this is your only way of clearing.

I'm having a hard time imagining wanting more than a couple pinks over the course of a game at all. I counter your free ward with my short lived consumable I'm spending money on, Hmmm.

Yeah, vision is going to be really weird for a while. Junglers who are direct gankers (i.e. no supersonic speed like Rammus or stealth shit like Shaco) are going to be pretty screwed by all the free sight, won't they?

I've been playing nothing but jungle eve recently so I'm excited for her to become super OP, but not excited for her to be banned every game and inevitably nerfed.

The range on the vision sweeping trinket dictates that you be in range already anyway, so it's likely to be better on tanky melees than on squishy ranged ones. (It's in an area around you, not a targeted area - that's the CV one.) ... Also the upgraded version does grant stealth champion detection.. so that's probably a nerf to champions like Vayne/Wukong. Not really. At the point in the game where you have the upgraded version of Sweeper, nowadays you'd have an Oracle's on the team or at least someone carrying around a Vision ward to throw down. Of course, having that "soft counter" for free is a bit of a nerf, but nothing that Vayne/Wu/Shaco/Akali don't have to deal with already.

Na, because you still have to react and stuff. It's like playing against Rengar: you don't know he's rushing to you until he jumps if you try to rely on pink wards over oracles, so the trinket sounds more like reacting than preventing too, unless it's in situations where you can expect it to be used (for example a teamfight, since you know Vayne will pop her ult).

Are they removing barrier and clairvoyance? I didn't see any notes on them in the summoner spell descriptions.
Edit: Also I feel with these vision changes, we are going to see a similar situation to what happened in Twisted Treeline, where champions with traps are going to be pretty strong, and eventually nerfed.

I can't think of a reason ever why you wouldn't buy it on every Champ with CC. Even if it gave no other stats.

It would also be disgustingly hard to balance with differences in CDs and AoE.
If you want "more CC" as a point of utility, then making an item with an active targeted CC is like a thousand times easier to balance than trying to scale increased CC duration across a hundred champion kits.
