We saw Draven played in the LCS "at one point", but the chances of him appearing at Worlds were and are practically nil. The same can be said for many other champions who were popular picks in the LCS "at one point". What matters is the diversity that exists now, and generally speaking I don't think it's particularly great. Here are all the picks for each role so far:
I've bolded those that surprised me. Out of a pool of 115 champions we've seen a total of 36, with 5 big surprises. Granted, that's only day 1, but I doubt that number is going to dramatically expand going forward. By the time Worlds is over I expect we'll see another 19 champions at most, leaving us at less than half of the available pool (which excludes Lucian). It's not a complete diversity disaster, but it could be better. I guess I overreacted a little :-) Ashe was banned once, too and we can expect to see her, Varus and maybe Trist get picked up over the course of the tournament.

Do i want dmg now? build bork/TF Do i want dmg later? skip I mean i like that option but its better if its a little more muddled imo. Look at PD and Shiv, that was done really well imo.

There are only a handful of "probable" champions left, the rest fall between "maybe" at best and "Teemo's chance in Icathia" at worst. So which 34 champions are you expecting to see? Here's my list of 19. I'm expecting that some of these won't show, but in turn will possibly be replaced by more surprises:

When was the last time you saw adc corki not rush trinity? wasn't there a short period of time where people went IE/standard AD carry build on Corki? This was before they nerfed his passive so you got the 10% true damage proc off of crits. I remember seeing people in solo q and some pro games where they jsut went straight crit and wrecked cause Corki passive would add like 30+ true damage to like every hit. This only lasted like half a month tho since Riot nerfed his passive soon after.

Even in those days it was like standard build if your losing lane, if your winning lane just build trinity force to snowball harder.

Trinity force gives many other things as well.. I just think it's too cheap, that's the only problem imo. The same deal as when BotRK was only 2800. Needs a cost increase of about the same amount(like 14%). That would bring Trinity Force cost up to around 4100... Which seems pretty fair.

Still, his damage output on Corki at 13 minutes is very high. A cost increase could help this. I'm not sure how the move speed change would come into play but 10 ad isn't that big of a deal.

I have yet to see the fabled Gogoing Mundo but Godlike's Shyvana is some inspirational shit, always be going ham Godlike could maybe be an apostle of LoveLin, because he definitely goes deep, especially on Shyv(and recently his Nasus as well), but he does this with copious amounts of farm to provide him safety. Our lord LoveLin understands that humans are flawed creatures though, and does not judge Godlike for this shortcoming. Not seeing Mundo #1 disappointment for me on day1. Gogoing's Renekton was manly as fuck though(that 1v4 zoning of SKT =o).

A hotfix is being applied right now. What strikes me as odd is the following: "We understand that this problem is a potentially significant issue. When we attempted a solution on Wednesday, additional complications arose. Currently we have a confirmed fix for the bug, but given that server stability is of high importance to us, deploying it over the weekend just isn’t viable. We will be getting this out as soon as possible on Monday. " I mean, my programming skills are low, maybe even more so than my LoL skillZ. But shouldn't that just be something like creep.type.xp = x - 2; And that's it? Like, sometimes I really really REALLY want to see the source code. Holy moly

and i am 100% certain that the issue is not someone accidentally slipping in a -2 and most likely something far more complex ~_~

I would expect to see Varus as an ADC (as a fallback if Ashe is banned vs C9). People dramatically underestimate him, and we may see Twitch, though the nerfs do impact the likelihood (maybe 50-50). MF is also a possibility, but similarly unlikely in the current metagame. The only supports that aren't on your list atm is Taric, Soraka, and Alistar (whom aren't in the best place atm, particularly Taric, though I would love a team to take Soraka as a Zed counterpick). Besides that, the only ADCs I don't expect to see is Lucian (obv), Sivir, Draven (too high skill, lower reward/nerfed laning) and Urgot (I don't think any of the teams play him). Everyone else is game. We may see alot of Corki however, but I disagree with him killing all the diversity bot lane. The possibilities are definitely still there. Oh wait, there's Quinn, but she's honestly a better mid laner. Hmm, Triforce Quinn mid lane. Anyone try it out yet? Mid lane: expecting to see Kayle being unveiled as a Zed counterpick, otherwise Nidalee and Kha are possibilities. Top lane: Irelia, maybe Nidalee. Jungle: Think you got it. Don't think any of them play any of the more off-beat junglers, like Naut or Leona (roffles pls), and I doubt TOO will be playing Meowkai or Cho anytime soon.

But shouldn't that just be something like creep.type.xp = x - 2; And that's it? Like, sometimes I really really REALLY want to see the source code. Holy moly It's almost certainly not a case of just a couple of numbers being wrong, as that would be fixed really easily. The programmer at Riot was probably staring at the data and seeing something like BLUE_MINION_BASE_XP = 35 PURPLE_MINION_BASE_XP = 35 and wondering why the blue minions were giving 37 XP instead. He could just change BLUE_MINION_BASE_XP to 33 to "fix" the problem, but that's only going to cause problems down the line when the real bug gets accidentally fixed, and suddenly the blue minions are giving 2 less XP than normal. Going through the whole code and finding the root of the problem takes considerably more time. Also, Riot programmers aren't stupid, and the root bug was probably introduced while trying to fix some other bug. So the root bug gets fixed, and the original bug breaks again, and they have to go back and fix the first bug the right way, and not in a way that causes blue minions to give extra XP. Back in the alpha days of Riot, if they came across a weird bug like this a couple days before release, they probably would have just set the blue minion XP to 2 lower to quickly fix the problem since releasing quickly is more important than getting the code right. Now they're paying for all these quick fixes with obscure bugs that come up and take a lot longer to fix than if the same bugs came up on a "clean" code base.
