And I don't see Zac in there? I thought he was a pretty viable top as well, or is he just better as jungle?

All I know is that if you are way better than your opponent, you can get early kills on Riven and snowball hard. For example, a challenger Riven will probably get FB against ̶a̶ ̶g̶o̶l̶d̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶y̶e̶r̶ hotshotgg at level 1 or 2 whereas someone like Jax wont get a kill for a while.

On July 31 2013 03:36 Slaughter wrote: What exactly is orbwalking?
IIRC, orbwalking is a relic from Dota. In Dota there were abilities were those that you could toggle on and off, sorta like ashe's frost arrow. In Dota you could "use" the ability instead of just having it toggled to make it a passive. Mechanically I think this meant you were using it as a spell instead of an auto attack. In Dota simply right clicking on an enemy champion to AA (even if you haven't AA'd them yet) would draw creep agro.
This meant you could harass opponents with frost arrow without drawing creep agro. This was really strong because if they tried to retaliate they would usually draw creep agro.
Also a technical note: while most abilities you use to orbwalk happened to be slows, like Drow and Veno, they don't HAVE to be slows. They can just be toggle abilities that modify your autoattacks.
There is no real orbwalking in LoL. Just kiting and animation canceling.

Lol yeah this is just my weird perception of common top lane heros. Didn't include Zac top because people usually like him better jungle... but yeah I think he might be a tier2 top. Also riven is Tier 1 cause she always carries me when she's on my team
Edit: I'm in g̶o̶l̶d̶ Hotshot division so yeah. Riven OP miright?

It depends on players more if you can just switch when you are high.If your goal is to just get high and go from there you should pick something very versatile like kayle and play her in 4 roles. Yes, you can, and I would reccomend it.
A bit late to the party but just because Xil goes duo mid sometimes doesn't mean he's always wrong guys.

What I have noticed dwith XilDarkz is that while he does come off as pretty pretentious and he says some dumb things, people are largely complaining about the parts that are reasonable.
Typical soloQ mentality cmon. Focus ADC not tank duh.

Is there a hold position function that I can rebind to allow for micro like stutter stepping marines? As much as I find the stop command to be useful sometimes, if I could replace it with hold position, it would be way better.

Jayce probly teir 3 now too, 30 min muramana isn't all that, and he is more of a mid now, 15 sec E means he loses trades with basically everyone you have listed in tier 1 and most of tier 2

H - Hold Command (Hold works like Stop, but is toggled while held down)
You can rebind it. Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but that is the Hold command.

Also, I am pretty sure Jax beats Malphite in lane, or Im just that fkin godlike at Jax. I've never been beaten by any Malphite except for Myw one game but I was playing really bad there, and it was still pretty close.
Idk how appropriate it is to advertise, but Ill stream some soloQ games in english starting at 20:00 GMT (+00:00) at Twitch.tv/Scipaeus I'll make a stream thread later but I gotta do a few things now before I start

This applied a lot more in dota where cast/attack animations could get ridiculously long (crystal maiden comes to mind). Orbwalking like in dota doesn't exist in league of legends. guitar has the closest definition in lol. in dota it was using orb spells manually while cancelling the backswing to keep up to someone without drawing aggro from creeps, because manually cast spells, even orbs do not draw creep/tower aggro in dota.
Mauzel said it better

I almost never lose to Jax as Irelia or Fiora, yet I will readily admit that it's due to in-depth champion/matchup knowledge, and a lack thereof from my opponent.
Or that theorycraft doesn't translate well. :p

going duo mid is just stupid, banworthy, and pointless when dodging champ select has no impact on elo, which is what really matters. trying to defend doing it when criticized is also very bm
that said, maining a select few champions is the best way to get good at the game quickly - it removes the need to spend time learning the minutiae of new champions and matchups over and over, allows you to focus on important general gameplay aspects such as map awareness, and gets you playing against better people sooner. just recognize that being a low pick will occasionally force you to leave your comfort zone. consider it an opportunity to apply your improved overall skill and don't make a habit of ruining games

honestly if you get stuck with 5th pick, support Syndra isn't THAT troll, she has tools.

I'm not sold on Jax atm. If someone on NA wants to test this out tomorrow, PM me. I'll be the Malphite.

'going duo mid'
playing nontraditional supports that need to be described as not THAT troll probably are better left out of ranked or played with the understanding that the resulting game is probably not going to be very useful for improving as a player

An auto reset ignores as decreases, and he has a ton of magic damage. I wouldn't expect it to be a stomp like malphite vs tryn is.

You get to spend all your gold on tanky-dps instead of just tanky. Zac has very high base damage. Wow looking it up w actually does % max health. Same thing with Udyr. The jungle doesn't provide enough gold to make him the tank he wants to be, and doesn't provide the gold to go dps and fuck up an adc.

I still feel like Malph would win out in poke. idk, maybe this is just too much theorycraft, partly why I want to test it out. :>
