There is already a "winning advantage", aka snowballing, since being ahead gives you access to more items than the other team has. If you don't have a defenders' advantage to give the other team a chance of catching up, games would be pretty ruthlessly one-sided once one team has even a small advantage. Imagine towers didn't attack champions. There'd be a small defenders' advantage still: your minions defend your tower while enemy minions die under your tower. But even then it'd be horribly boring to play against a burst laner when you're behind -- there'd be absolutely no way you get any farm once the opponent is a kill ahead, since you can't farm safely under tower anymore. Upgraded siege minions and increased minion health, dragon buffs, baron buffs all are essentially helping a winning team, since it's easier to secure objectives if you are ahead than it is when you are behind, generally speaking. It'd be very one-sided if you grant attackers these increasingly strong advantages (in addition to their gold lead) without having a refuge where the other team can try to make a stand with a defenders' advantage (towers). | ||

I've been going backwards through Jazriel's posts and you can almost see when he starts going crazy (first he's a noob at LoL and asking for item builds and stuff and putting forth his own really bad ones, a brief stint arguing that objectivism is good cuz objectivism, and eventually insisting he's really good just that he doesn't play ranked into RAGE ANGER INSANITY). Psychologists could probably write a paper on him. Also the three eggs and steak I made. Let it be known that when I met my heart attack, it was with a satisfied stomach and while browsing team liquid. | ||
