Yango approached me about this a few days ago about how he felt sorry for some of you guys who have never gotten to LoL beyond solo queue.
I would love something like this. I'm Silver II for reference, and should be able to play League again in like 2 weeks. I just graduated so I'm currently back at my hometown where I can't get a league connection with sub 200 ping, but I should be shortly heading down to Austin where getting a good connection is one of my first priorities. 
Now that I'm done with school I'm going to really focus on improving at League as soon as I get my own place/internet set up.

Was talking with some folks in chat a bit ago, anyone have any insight into Lissandra builds? RoA didnt feel quite right to me, was thinking maybe Grail? She feels like a spammer to me, lots of Qs to harass and push.

Abyssal maybe? Your range is short anyway. Also CDR pretty good. And of course Zhonya.

ROA doesn't seem bad when you're getting down and dirty in the middle of the enemy team, or Dorans -> Abyssal Zhonya?
Q is so short range and already has a pretty short cooldown so it's already going to be good on waveclear but you aren't going to easily be able to harass without trades, so early resists seem important, and you aren't going to stay in for multiple Q's unless you're going to full combo (in which case, high burst > cdr)

From what I've seen most people do something like double dorans -> Abyssal or double dorans -> zhonyas. Think Grail is overkill due to the passive.

I've felt that Rod always feels a little underwhelming unless you can get it early on OR get other defensive items with it. Even with the extra few hundred HP, you still get blown up because no resists.
On like Singed its great, but other people I always feel a little iffy.

I dunno, I think I just dislike RoA as an item. It has strange timings where you have Catalyst, or an "empty" RoA, and it just feels flat. I'd probably go with a couple Doran's Rings on my next play of her. Alternatively, Guise/Liandry's? Or are her bases not high enough to justify that over a "harder" AP item?

On release I'd say they were, but they dropped a few of her base damages noticably 
Also, the splash of Q doesn't slow, only the initial does I think?

Yeah, just the first target. So not quite as good for Liandry's, but it'd still work decent for kiting with W and R

It feels really awkward because they've hit catalyst multiple times throughout it's inception. So, due to cost increases, it's gotten an odd timing in some builds. It's still plenty amazing as an item though. Nowadays, since people are going tear -> catalyst, it's especially odd how things turn out.
This is more LCS, but no idea why scarra attempted to go tear -> catalyst for Kassadin, unless the Kassadin was able to rush a very early RoA, which didn't happen with Scarra in that game today. It didn't help that scarra had like 90 CS while his counterparts(solo laners) all had above 150
