Q too mana prohibitive to spam. EW can clear a wave for 50 mana every wave after a point.

Going super tanky isn't really necessary. As cool as it is riding the claw in and self-ulting a lot of the time it's better to just ult their squishy if they get out of position (or as a counter follow up).
Edit: I max Q, I usually don't ever use E to farm if I can avoid it since it's your escape. Guess it just depends on the player.

If I saw a Liss using those to clear instead of fight/defend/escape, I'd punish the shit out of her. Q's draw is that, while shorter than many mages' spells, it's still relatively safe and fast clearing.

I wouldn't ever use it to farm until its CD is under 15 seconds. but it is the only spell lissandra has that can safely hit all 6 minions as they come up in a line. then sauntering in or Jumping to the claw and W clears everything for 50 mana, while 2 Q's and a W end up costing triple that.
if you look at what you gain per Skill level its 35 damage/lvl for Q and .5 seconds off the CD.
W gives 40 damage/lvl, 1 second off the CD, and .1 second longer snare/lvl
E gives 45 damage/lvl 3 seconds off the CD.

W's range is larger than it seems. 450 isn't terribly short. and typically if they are far enough back to be safe from your spells walking in then pressing W (which casts instantly) and walking back doesn't give them time to react.Maxing W also gives you much better assist in ganks as well as avoiding ganks in the first place.
using E is only prohibitive to your escape if you use it while a jungler is camping your brush (your fault) or if its level 1.
Its both your highest damage longest range spell, and your escape. using it SOLELY for mobility would be like playing ezreal and only using arcane shift to dodge stuff and never using it to attack.

But my team dies anyway. I dont fucking get it. Im doing what i can, i dive in first and attract attention, peel the high-damage dude, get someone else following me so i leave them 3v4 without focus (I cant imagine bronze players auto switching from me as soon as the team follows up) but they just fucking die.
Its standard that im in a 1v2 situation, i dive in, peel the carry and expect to die / take one with me but when i die and then watch as they've just been Aced. Im left in a "wtf" situation.
Am i doing this wrong? Should i not be peeling the carry and trying to pull others away? :| Should i focus on keep them off my carries instead?
I know the ideal situation is to have the carries killed, which happens too, but in the event that they start running from me, i follow to keep them out of the fight and pull others onto me, the tanky fucker.

Also it's really nice to peel away from enemy bruisers using Ashe's volley for AoE slow followed by an auto from ibg.

Using it well is one of those oft-overlooked skills of good Ezreal players.
Most people don't actually realize how far the missile goes--it has 750 range.

@Capped
You're not using the word peel correctly. There's a difference between peeling and diving, peeling is getting people off your teammates, diving is damaging/occupying the enemy. You can't really expect to go in 1v5 and for your team to win the followup unless they're killing off the enemy team's damage threats off extremely quickly. To me it sounds like you're misjudging situations and expecting your team to followup when they can't.

When you look at your IP and its 1681 and you think "oh now would be a good time to go back to buy a BF sword"
god I'm an idiot

Sometimes when I play Pantheon, I like to peel the enemy mid laner with my Q harass until they die.
