I met AsnSensation here from TL in some ranked games, where i was FP. He failed his promo series to diamond quite a handful of times, so when he finally got diamond 5 (i think was i D4 at that point) he suddenly had MMR way higher than me, because of the fails.

Yeah I've seen similar stuff happen a lot. Failing a promo series is really not a big deal, if you "deserve to be higher" your MMR will reflect that anyway.

Yeah Failed my Diamond Promo 6 or 7 times, but my MMR was pretty high after that, lost a bunch in Dia 3 though so

To be honest these Diamond 2 players he's playing with are pretty trash. Can't wait until he's matched up with the OGN level players at Diamond 1 and Challenger.

Nida is pretty much the best soloQ champion you can imagine : mobile, hard to deal with, strong split pusher and 1v1, and high sustain.

Seriously I don't get what's impressive winning with her, especially after playing it so much...

I'm pretty sure Chinese d1 is a notable step down from the korean server, but even at d1 last patch people were asking me not to play nunu jungle. People get weird notions about the game and the meta.

The only time I've seen a nunu ban is when the enemy knew I was on the other team because of queue dodgers. I guess that's sort of a respect ban?

This might not come as a shock to 90% of TL, but team comps bitches. Holy fuck, the amount of come-backs just because your team comp screams for late-game, while theirs is a "we need 2 carries fed and end mid-game". Happens so often O_o

I love having Sona in a late game comp. Even if we get crushed early come late game if we manage to stall I know I can win the game with my Flash Crescendos.

How would you deal with Cleanse/QSS though? Sure a 3s cc is strong (especially on melee champs since you can also control their position through it) but if you can't get in without flashing, you'll have a powerful peel tool (despite the Tenacity the diver will most likely have) but that's all. Maybe the base damage on his ultimate to help compared to Maokai or other tank champs like that.

Isn't Rammus "opportunistic" depending on enemy comp rather than "good" come late game?

I've always been tempted to build a phantom dancer on rammus just 'cause you'll have respectably high AD from his passive and I always fantasize that PD will somehow let rammus Q through minions.

yeah, he is, one of the opportunities when he is super strong lategame is when enemy has things like lee sin or pantheon. You can just autoattack and ultimate until one of them jumps in and then taunt, also rammus taunt destroys lee sin insec initiate in hilarious ways.

too bad rammus kinda sucks against double AD which seems to be getting more and more popular
