Was thinking about playing FF14 but on second thought I am too old for MMO already. I wish TL LOL all the best... For a moment I thought you were going back to the 'front'. Then I gave myself the hardest facepalm of my life.

Imo Janna and Zilean's passives are really interesting. Janna with Udyr as a teammate helps the udyr catch up to targets just a bit more easily. Zilean's passive gets that mage on your team lvl 6 a bit faster than the enemy, letting them potentially take advantage of that timing. Tf's passive seems a bit less interesting. It really doesn't let champs abuse timings until later on in the game where it becomes a bit less relevant. I don't even think it fits TF's character that well.

YAY just found out they finally fixed Shyv. Time to rock out the Dragon Bitch!

I do miss when knowing lane matchups was a huge emphasis, now it's knowing how to 1v2 lane, 2v1 lane, or knowing how to play roaming/pushing mids. It was always cool to see top matchups between pros best known champions and to see how well they knew the different matchups. I can understand that opinion but I just think players have become too good for it to be interesting, how often do you see kills 1v1 or 2v2 in Asian level play? s2 midlane was literally walk up clear wave go into jungle, that was no interesting, Froggen's 300 cs record or whatever on Karthus was the opposite of eventful. I mean in the sense of I feel like champion select is less complex with these changes, something that Riot has expressed they feel is positive, but I vehemently disagree I've seen kills in 1v1, 2v2 in "Asian-level" play, whatever that means.
In the one LPL game I've watched for summer season, Jayce died twice in lane to simple jungle ganks and in bot lane, a flashless Sona got hooked by Thresh.
The concept of a 1v1 between superstars sounds cool in theory, but when you actually watch the match, there's 3 different lanes and a jungler and often times the camera bounces between all the lanes (with full vision of both teams) so you can never really observe the full match up and how they play against each other heads up.
I've always thought of 1v1 and 1v2 as openings in chess matches. Certain timings will open up and it offers certain advantages based on how you play it. Just like how opening Kingside pawn (e4) usually results in an open and attack-heavy game, I tend to think of 1v2 and early towers as promising more teamfights and action throughout the game.

Riot balances this kind of things around the fact that most games are played Blind Pick mode, which, while mind-bogglingly stupid from a competitive point of view, explains why they want to make the [ban/]pick phase as unimpactful as possible.
Meh.

We only talk about League like 10% of the time anyways. I mean, Pokemon, Measurement systems, Working out, Difficult video games, childcare...

sorry perhaps poorly worded by 2v2 and 1v1 I meant independant of ganks as ganks [can] negate the matchup, but it does happen my point is not ever enough for picking based on lane opponent only (as used to be the case) to not be boring.

something i learned recently... zil in lanes with melees is such a bitch. never had this issue before because it was rare for mids to be in melee range when zil was more popular. Whenever that melee goes for any cs, you bomb the creep he's aiming at right before he gets the cs. SOOOO... i might try going top zil vs melee on blue side to test soon :D

Also, keep in mind just because they said they wanted to get rid of global passives doesn't mean that I think it's going to happen anytime soon (i.e. this year)
