I feel like wards should have a global limit like the sightstone. Like normal wards (green/pink) can only be placed up to a limit of 5 per team (+ sightstone + wriggles wards) to prevent mass ward spam and bring a little more diversity to games. So, it would convert to like 1/2 bot, 1 mid, 1 top, 1/2 spare. If someone places a ward after 5, it acts like sightstones do, the first disappears. Thoughts? Im too tired to actually type out my thoughts on WHY i think its a good idea but i like it ![]() | ||

Vision is just that strong. It would likely also make watching pro games a lot more entertaining. I really hope riot makes this happen at some point, but I'm not very hopeful. There would likely be a massive outcry from players that they can't ward all gank paths. | ||

( I don't know) No, Sight Wards are limited, Vision Wards are unlimited but have 1 vision range so they need to be paired with vision of some form to be useful (DotA uses BW/WC3/SC2 vision mechanics where detection range can use the shared vision from other units). | ||

It's not so much prediction/mindgames more than it simply enables map movement to pay off at times where with current vision mechanics it's simply not practical to do so given that the enemy is likely to have vision anyway. In particular it enables the jungler to gank at different times through more routes, while also enabling laners better aggressive options between lanes without necessarily being seen along the way (in particular, it increases the probability of success of a support roaming, or, say, a 1v2 laner ditching the lane to gank mid and get FB). Of course, without TPs being in the game, this is actually a pretty iffy proposal, because, say, if the enemy mid leaves, and the map is dark, you can't follow him, but you also can't TP-countergank like you could in DotA. | ||

Though i fell like that would be pretty limiting to the game, it might also open new options. Now you either have really limited vision, or people who are not the support also need to be warding, even lategame. | ||
