We know that all champions are not played in SR competitively, but if there are more maps, maybe some of those champions are viable in other maps. Or strategies like double adc support or double jungle. Maybe a map with a bigger jungle, one with less walls, a map where flash is not necessary lol. I don't know, i didn't have enough time to think about how a good map would be but again it would be really cool. Eh, it wouldn't work in my opinion. Any map that is noticeably different from SR is going to instantiate a new meta, and therefore will be considered too different for competitive play. On the other hand, the only way that you could change the map but still keep the core the same would be to do things like change the jungle paths, remove the river as a straight line between lanes, change position of buffs/dragon/baron maybe lengthen the lanes to 4 towers, or increase/decrease the distance between towers and lanes. I suppose then you'd have similar roles, but change the meta to more aggressive, more passive, more roam-y, or whatever. Unlikely that it'll ever be done though. Even if not for competitive it would be fun from time to time, And then if those non competitive fun maps become popular enough some times they eventually become competitive. I just think it would be a way to drastically change game play without creating a bunch of new champions, items, so on. I'd watch competitive Dom if they would ever finish balancing it. AB/Dom is the most fun game mode by far.

Based on their front page I'm pretty sure that is the least funny Onion-esque parody news site I have ever seen.

Nah, they REALLY need to add another champion with boobies.
And give her a Frostblade skin.
So she can have...
Dat ass.

FYI, I don't have any children yet but soon, just fearing the same as you seeing as I barely have time for games as it is I subsume that gaming time won't be what you fear the most once your kid is here.
The "news" site being a parody explains those troll statements (wasn't excessively surprised about Balls, more about NeeGodBro).
Regarding the "different map" thing, I'm actually pretty curious as to how differently splitpushing plays out in DotA than in LoL, with no Recall nor summoner Teleport, but TP scrolls galore and a bigger map. If I got it well towers themselves are much easier to kill (unless compared to say Yi) but the ability to nuke waves down and reach tower is harder to come by in DotA? And you have TP scrolls but since they require structures it can get harder to stop the splitpusher, especially if he's good 1v1 as TPs from several team members are spaced up, Boots of Travel are a situationnal item on most heroes ('cept stuff like the clockwork goblin with Rearm). You also don't have Homeguard to easily reach inner towers.

I still don't know how LoL doesn't have replays when Brood War has replays.

Hahaha I remember buying the WoTLK expansion and ON the box it showed one of the new features as "custom dances" with pictures and everything. They even have it in the freaking trailer. When I quit 2 years later, the dances still hadn't been added and Blizzard was yet to make a comment on it.. gg.

Lack of cross-region play (at least between NA and EU, the business models in CN/KR/SEA might be too different) also doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, given that the number of people that would actually buy RP on two different regions seems close to zero, and being able to play with friends on other regions without having to grind out a new account would make a lot of people happier.

Obviously they have in-house replays for testing, but they would have to work out patching, backwards compatibility, making replays non-editable, and other stuff to make it available for everyone. I don't know how much incentive to spend money producing another version of the existing 3rd party LoLReplay.
They did trademark the file format .rofl though ("Replay OF League")

Yeah, most people don't even find it to be worth the effort when there is significant downtime on either NA or EU to go make cross-server account. Runes are the biggest inhibitor in my mind

There's not much high level TT play, sadly. There are those that play it at a high level, but not really enough to warrant a large enough community at the top level.

I find TT is really fun when playing premades. I can see how playing solo would suck though. If Baron were as strong on SR as whatever spiderbeast is on TT, teams would think harder about those risky baron calls
