What should have been a 20 minute surrender ended a 50 minute victory. The synergy between the two is nuts, Rengar reliably carries the ball into the center of a team, then the wombo combo of damage from Ori's combo + Rengar in the middle with Hydra is an easy win.
One team fight we lost because their ADC sat like a mile behind his team waiting for the fight to start, and they managed to dive Orianna. Even having someone carry Oracles isn't that effective, just gives you a bit of warning. Thoughts? I know this isn't new. The times you can land an Ori / rengar combo (at objectives) is very limited just put a pink ward and it makes it impossible.
Even if they see through your stealth, he can still jump instantly from a pretty good range (especially with the stack bonus on his item), so Pink/Oracle just turns it from "super imba stealth initate" to a normal leap in Ori combo. Just as good as anyone else who does it.

This is kind of random, but why is Hextech Sweeper/Spectral Lantern/Lightbringer limited to ARAM and Dominion? They're not expensive, but they help loads against champs like Teemo and Shaco, and even help somewhat against like Akali/Rengar/ other stealthies-- buying one pretty much counters them. On Summoner's Rift, the only alternative is to buy an Oracle's or a bunch of pinks, which over the course of the game is going to cost quite a bit more.

Hextech Sweeper is for detection because those modes do not have vision wards and (iirc) oracle.

They have a cheaper Oracle's, no Vision wards.
While I understand that Oracle's is cheaper b/c you die more in those modes, you also get a looot more gold.

I think you actually listed several reasons in your post lol. The item is really cheap for what it does and isn't balanced around SR. Also I don't think Riot wants certain champs to be countered with one item in a competitive setting.

From the standpoint of the other 99.98% of the population, dealing with stealth is just really frustrating especially when champions with stealth also tend to be the ones that snowball really hard.
I honestly think the ARAM/Dominion items are decently designed and priced. Hextech Sweeper seems like a good item on a support-- it isn't an item you can buy right off, but it also means that you won't find yourself with a sightstone and boots at 40 minutes because you've spent all your money on pinks and oracle's against an Eve.

I have 6500 IP who to buy?
I usually fill in ranked and currently I play:
Top & Mid: Jayce, Zed, Elise
Jungle: Elise, Nunu if elise isn't available
ADC: Varus, Ashe if they aren't
Support: Karma
I've been considering draven or thresh just to abuse bot lane so hard 
But I'm also down with buying a champ which is just super fun, considering lissandra or quinn as well.

Played some Shyv today to test out the new Wit's End and jungle. Most interesting revelation for me is no one seems to remember what Shyv does. Kept having people walk up to me 1v1 and try and slug it out. Then realize they made a horrible mistake.
